DMo wanted to play in D-league after first 2-3 games this season where he wasn't looking good or getting minutes. Rockets didn't want him to go to D-league.

Yes, Harden is the reason Dmo doesn't get enough minutes. Also Harden slowed down Dmo's recovery time from injury. Also Harden is the reason why Dmo hasn't been playing well. Also Harden is the reason Dmo rebounds poorly. Also Harden never looks for Dmo when he is on the court.

Did I forget anything? ...oh yeah this is also one of the dumbest threads I've read on here (and as of late this board is filled with dumb threads).

According to BBallholic Harden IS the reason why DMo didn't play one second in Portland series.

yeah I've read the post where Harden (and Howard I believe) supposedly were against playing Dmo over Jones. Didn't buy it then, don't buy it now. At the time Jones was clearly the superior player anyway.

NOOOOOOOO. Aldridge was scoring 40+ in first two games, Jones was literally being raped. EVERYONE begged for DMo to be put in. Never happened. So clearly there is some truth to what holic said. Don't dismiss it. I know when DMo sucks and he doesn't deserve to play. There was NO REASON not to give him a second in that series when NOTHING was working. Not even close. DMo was the obvious answer, but it never happened. I blamed Mchale, when I should have blamed Haren I guess. Howard had nothing to do with it I think.

What a crock of revisionist BS. People at the time didn't have any belief or faith in DMo at all.

What people wanted - and what happened and helped - was Asik playing more.

Geez you guys get so dramatic about D-Mo and Jones. D-Mo just had back surgery... read that again.... BACK SURGERY. He's lucky to even be back on the court already in any capacity. His real season shouldn't start until after the all-star break or next season based on what you see around the league with guys coming off a surgery that serious.

Look at how Gallinari is just now starting to look like himself coming off of an ACL injury over a year ago, and the back injury he suffered before that. Dwight Howard's season with the Lakers was really a down year the entire season coming off of back surgery the year prior and wasn't really himself until the next season here in Houston when he fixed alot of the overcompensation issues he had due to coming back too soon.

Look, the point is, we shouldn't get all worked up about D-Mo at all this year. I understand its a contract year so I get it, but the Rockets aren't making any decisions on D-Mo's future based off of his limited play coming back from back surgery.

If the Rockets like his talent moving forward, they will keep him and match any offer.

If they don't think he's that good, they will trade him.

If you, the fans, think he's good then you should root for the Rockets to keep him. Tweet Morey if you want to, and let him know you are a fan and you'd like the Rockets to resign him.

But don't act like a fool who thinks that just because he isn't getting 35 min a night, and leading the team in touches a few months after back surgery means that he should be traded to a team that will give him the superstar treatment.... unless you aren't a Rockets AND D-Mo fan, and truly are just a DOF.

This is/was such baseless rumor mongering. First of all, when the Rockets traded 2Pat & Morris, the first player they put in the starting lineup was in fact D-Mo. Only it was D-Mo who played himself out of the rotation at first since he clearly wasn't ready for the NBA game.

Jones played more a few seasons ago because he was up to speed on the NBA game sooner. D-Mo was more high upside, and took a few seasons to acclimate. But D-Mo has had as much equal opportunity on this team than Jones. Only an idiot trying to stir up rumors like Hollic would start such baseless rumors, and you'd be a bigger idiot to believe any baseless rumors that he tries to start when he obviously has an agenda.

I believe the projections for next years cap are $89M. Based on that, D-Mo would be eligible for a maximum salary of $22.5M. $15m is only 66% of his max offer so if you are betting that he will get a near max offer, then I think you should raise your number significantly.

Not happening. You won't get equal upside in return.

I'd be very surprised if DM even entertained an offer. That's his guy.

a 6'11" guy with post moves, passing and chemistry with Dwight? You keep that around.

Well there are 12 players who loaf around on the court even more than Harden and Howard (minimum 20 games played)

    Boogie Cousins
    Marc Gasol
    Paul Pierce
    Dirk
    Blake Griffin
    Durant
    DeAndre Jordan
    Markieff Morris
    Chris Bosh
    Tim Duncan
    David West

Every other qualified player in the NBA moves faster than them.

Just because Aldridge was going off doesn't mean that Jones still wasn't the better player at that time. DMo was not a rotation guy that year. I do agree that you might as well have put him in for a bit to mix it up, I understand why he was not in the game.

DMo was not a rotation guy until like December of last year.

Makes sense that it's all old dudes and big men.

Then you have Harden and Durant.

    Weird.
