Why would they want any of our trash for their good young players? Ain't gonna happen. The only thing we have of value to trade is expiring contracts that they don't need, Tracy (who they won't want) or Yao (who is untouchable), Landry, Scola, or Brooks who they won't trade better young players for or young Atlanta players that aren't as good so why should we trade our good young players for any of their trash. Atlanta is just not a good trade partner for us.

Ideal would be to get SAC to trade us Artest as a short term rental for our expirings plus a no. 1 draft pick. In the offseason we could either let him walk or better yet trade Battier and re-sign Artest. SAC can probably get more, but if the Nene for Artest rumors are even remotely true, ours would be a better offer.

Head for Jamario Moon, or Kirk for Gerald Green, Bonzi and co. for Villlauneva.

Just bleffing, Rockets will probably do nothing, that's the best.

Head for Jamario can't be achieved even in NBA Live but other two can.

There are lots of options but I really really like Kirk for Gerald Green, and it deserves alone thread on this board since Morey will read it.

I think they would hold out for a little more than Snyder.

Francis has a player option, ie another year and he's having season ending surgery. His chances of being traded are 00.1%.

Hey this post may be one of the worst ever. I heard a trade being worked on from a friend who has a friend playing in the NDBL. Take this w/ a tiny grain of salt.i do not believe it to be true.
He said we are working on getting Michael Redd and another guard from the Bucks for a package of rafer, luther, novak, a draft pick and maybe someone else. This seems way too good to be true. I do know believe it.HOWEVER, i do want credit as the first one to post this if this deal does go through.

I thought you was gonna through T-Mac in there...I wonder if the salaries match up. But who is gonna play the point guard position. If Morey pulls that trade off I'm gonna have to sit on my hands to keep from waving to everybody (do the happy dance) :D

No way this happens!!! Rafer+Luther+Novak dont even add up to half of Redds salary. A draft pick holds no value. If you add either Mike James or Shane Battiers salary then the math works, but for sure its not Shane getting in on that package!!! And even if we did add Mike James to that trade, we are adding more money to the payroll, going into LT, because Redd still makes more than the four of them combined. I really dont see that as a "real" deal. It leaves only Brooks and Francis at the point.

Francis is gonna have to play in a wheel chair....it'll just leave the Rockets with a depleted roster.

yes.i agree.i cannot see this happening.i do not believe it.i would hate to get booted off here for posting something so ridiculous.HOWEVER, i did want credit if it were to happen and to see if this source is reliable.
My source could still be right if it never happens.Maybe they will talk about it and learn that a deal cannot be done.
I do not know how we would do it. I do not know everyone that would be involved. But it is fun to think about.
Imagine one more thing, just for fun: Right after we land Redd, we trade T-Mac for Jason Kidd.
This is fun to think about but highly unlikely.

One last time, I do not believe it.Take everything very, very, very, very lightly.

Anybody think the Rockets would be interested in Ron Artest?

I think Houston should go after him like the Lakers did for Gasol. Offer a player like Chuck Hayes, and/or Bob Sura..... and two first round draft picks?

Clutch is right, the Rockets should consider making a deal even if the Suns and Lakers didn't make one.

Artest would help the Rockets a lot, and the Kings would get two players with expiring contracts and draft picks.

The Kings should have a fire sale. They had their run.

I really wish people would stop obsessing about Mike Miller. The grizzlies are not going to give him up, he is loved on that team. Gasol was disliked by the fanbase and his salary was huge for that small market team. Grizzlies GM Chris Wallace detailed his reasons for trading Gasol and none of those reasons apply to Miller.

According from the guys at ESPN, the Lakers also had a deal for Miller and Swift, but they opted for Gasol instead. It looked like Memphis was willing to trade both Miller and Gasol.
