Wait. You think Dubon = Morel? Morel is defensively flawed, but has massive offensive upside…light tower power. He hit 26 homers in 388 ABs last year and 821 OPS. Down year this year but still has 18 homers in 350ish ABs. They are not the same.

Morel also has two more years of control. They are about equally valuable o er the last three years but so are Brandon bielak and Spencer Arrighetti. Morel at least has some potential in there. Seems like Tampa is trying to corner the market on Jose Siri types.

Astros want a starter almost a must have, bullpen and third on list is a left handed bat. Will most likely be an overpay with so many teams in the hunt.
Bullpen prioritized over bat seems stupid. We have 3 certified studs back there and taylor Scott who’s also been good. Plus Whitley looks ready, and arrighetti moves to the bullpen in playoffs and maybe as soon as we get another starter. Bullpen concern is dumb if that’s prioritized over a bat.

I agree about the bullpen Anyone they get would likely just be 4th in line. The 4th-8th bullpen guys aren't a big issue and I like Scott, Whitley, King, Ort and the starters who don't make the playoff rotation just fine. And I think Murfee will be as good and valuable as Scott.
