Trade Morris and Aldrich for a mid-late 1st rounder and be done with it! Stockpile another asset and save the real dealing for the offseason.

throw in a 2nd round pick and one of our rookies or morris...why wouldn't they? douglas is a more than serviceable backup pg and also an expiring.

Jarrett Jack is a more than useful backup PG for GSW already.
A mid 2nd round pick is quite useless to them.

So you're asking them to trade Landry for a rookie? Methinks they're not that stupid?

I say stand pat... this team is too young to make an accurate assessment.

But if there is a superstar player to be had, then by all means go for it.

But Harden, Parson, and Asik seem to be the cornerstones. Lin is still too inconsistent.

But i think Morey is glad Rockets are relevant once again.....

The team is too good to stand pat. We may be young, but Morey can't let the talent of this team be wasted on the youth -- meaning, the team is good enough now to where they need to make sure that the youth of the team does not stop them from making the playoffs. Playoff experience is important, and being competitive in the playoffs is even more important for the growth of a young team into a championship contender.

To that end, what this team needs is solid veteran leadership... and better power forward play.

If the team can get a solid PF who has been in the playoffs and can give the team something of a solid defensive and offensive presence they can depend on, then this team not only will remove any doubts on making the playoffs, they might just be able to push the team they play in round 1.

It is great to have a young team, but the best way to develop youth is not just let them mindlessly make mistakes, but to put them in a chance to succeed and create a winning culture to go with their talent.

I'm fine standing pat but this argument has merit. Someone like KG could anchor our D, space the floor some, and ensure our young team gets valuable playoff experience.

He has a no trade clause but if he feels the Celtics aren't going to contend, he may be willing to play for McHale.

He's too slow to play PF and he's an awful defender so playing him at either position makes our defense go down the toilet. The Patterson & Lin combination has been exceptional at defending PNRs over the past three games and Asik for once doesn't look like he's going to throw a tantrum from having to contest so many guards so he's in position to board like a beast.

He's not the answer to become a championship contender.

Trade M.Morris, P.Patterson, C.Aldrich, maybe T.Douglas too for draft picks

    Get D.Cousins & K.Garnett

    D.Cousins / K.Garnett / C.Parsons / J.Harden / J.Lin

KG is 36 years old and on a 3-year contract worth $34mil. Even if he and the Celtics decide to waive that no trade clause, Morey wouldn't mess with that contract and give up our cap flexibility to sign a max player/2nd superstar this off-season or next.

I think PPat is developing pretty well. I dont see why everyone wants to trade him. There's other players i would throw under the bus first.

As much as I like him...and I do, I don't think he could keep up with our run and gun offense. But as long as we didn't have to give up too much (perhaps a guy like M0rris), I'd sure love to find out.

I had a dream that Dwight Howard & Chris Paul both forced their way to Houston at the trade deadline, to play with Hardin. Then form the next Dynasty for the next 4 years...

    Get 'er done Morey!

That seems very realistic. You bet Harden is working on that.

Actually he might. KG would be an amazing fit for this team. Amazing.

I'd have NO Problem having KG for the next 3 years. He's still playing well at this age and he does everything you want at the PF spot.

Still, I really doubt the Celtics are interested in trading him.

Jarrett Jack is the best back-up PG in the NBA right now, and could start for maybe 5-10 NBA teams.
