think we should just stand pat...keep our cap space and see what we can do in the off-season...maybe even make a move for dwight? the only pieces id wanna move (morris, ppat, cole etc.) arent worth anything...we just signed asik and lin and parsons should NOT be shipped out

also dont know if the jazz will wanna trade us milsap considering we are in a playoff race with them...and i dont want to see any moves for a PF until we play d-mo, jones and maybe even royce white!

and i am not sold on josh smith...did anyone watch the knicks game? i know its only one game but in the final 37 seconds he...got hit for an over-and-back, a moving screen offensive foul (not really his fault to be fair), fouled melo for an and-1 after he was beat and bricked a three that would have won the game

and this dude thinks hes a max money player!

Yes. Hopefully one day, Lin will stop throwing him bounce passes at his knees.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. And then there's Jeremy Lin who keeps making that same mistake every freaking game. Not trying to pick on Jeremy, but I think that one mistake constitutes a sizable amount of turnovers this season. He needs to stop doing it, especially on the fast break. No more bounce passes at 7 ft Asik's knees please! You don't need to have a degree from Harvard to figure that out.

Gotta upgrade PF position and PG without giving away Parsons or Smith.

It's not just Lin, it's everyone! Asik averages 2.35 turnovers a game because of some crazy misdirected passes to the big guy!

I think a shrewd move or two could be made that improves cap space and the team overall. I'm in the trade Lin ASAP crowd because I don't see him developing into a championship level PG.

If I were running things, I would do the following.

    1. Trade one or more among Morris, Patterson, and Smith. Preferably 2 of them if possible, depending on the deal available.
    2. See if there are any takers for Douglas. A future heavily protected 1st or a decent 2nd round pick is what I'd ask for.
    3. Trade FOR a mediocre wing player on an expiring contract. Equivalent of the Camby trade of last year, giving up a 2nd round pick or possibly less.
    4. If anyone wants to dump some salary just for this offseason, say yes. If someone is willing to give up premium draft pick for 2 years of salaries? Also say yes.
    5. If a team is willing to deal a star player and wants Rockets players, then obviously go for it. This excludes all the soon-to-be FAs like Millsap or Josh Smith.
    6. Lin surely has no trade value, or negative trade value right now. But if he actually has significant trade value, obviously look into it. Highly, highly doubtful unless there's some idiot team out there.

    Ahem. Sample size.

The very BEST game winning shooters miss more than half their shots.

    Carmelo Anthony - 48%
    Lebron James - 34%
    Vince Carter - 31.4%
    Allen Iverson - 39.4%
    Dirk Nowitzki - 32.4%
    Paul Pierce - 34.4%

    http://www.82games.com/gamewinningshots.htm

So, unless the name is Carmelo Anthony, missing a game winning shot or even late crunch time shots should be EXPECTED more often than not.

Trade Patterson for JJ Redick. Trade toney douglas for carl landry. Pretty sure reduce and laundry are expirings as well.

    pg-Lin/ Beverly
    sg-Harden/Redick
    sf-Parsons/Delfino
    pf-Landry/Motiejunas/Jones/White....in any order really
    c-Asik/Smith

Both trades are successful on trade machine as well.....small moves that may improve our team in the short term while not affecting our hopeful long term plans. These trades definitely would not cause the team to regress.

    Redick/Douglas
    Harden/Garcia
    Parsons/Delfino
    Motiejunas/Morris or Jones
    Asik/Smith

Garcia and Redick are expiring, but I would want to re-sign Redick to something like a 4/$28mil contract. You can go ahead and trade Morris, Douglas, and Delfino for picks, too.

trade delfino, asik, douglas and either morris or patterson (or both), for a superstar PF. Smith can start. That way Morey is only one Lin trade away from realizing his ultimate goal: every player on a max contract or rookie contract.

    Here's an example: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=bdwcm4d

We could start lin, harden, parsons, smith, and gasol.

Boston gets a young center and cap relief,

LA gets Garnett, and two decent backup perimeter players.

Lin and patterson is a bit much AND i like redick and think he'd be a good fit, but who will guard opposing teams point guards?

You have to always be looking to improve the team. Upgrade players or gain draft picks I am all for it.

Plus we need to make play offs this year to pay our Draft pick debt. I would rather pay this year instead of Andrew Wiggins & Jabari Parker Draft.

With the CBA restricting S&T $$ it's definitely the right move for the right player.
I have no doubt CF will be keeping a close eye on Milsap tonight.

I don't think Morey has enough bullets in the chamber to deliver big game, but we all know that can change quickly with a flurry of last minute movement
