How pissed would Stevie be if he thought it would take us a level up? not too pissed I would guess... Another option would be Cat off the bench as the 6th man. I wouldn't have a problem with him in that role, though i doubt he would accept it. I have no problem with Cat on the team, its only in making Steve play the point that is the problem. And I can't see Cat playing the point. The problem remains that if you leave our backcourt situation the same we're missing a piece of the puzzle.

As long as Cat learns to defer to Yao and Steve (he's improving) and Steve learns how to play PG (he's also improving), I don't have a problem with Cat as our 2 guard. He's actually our 2nd best outside shooter (behind Rice) and 2nd best perimeter defender (behind Posey) now.

Whats hilarious is that Steve Francis averages more turnovers than anyone in the NBA. Cuttino may make a boneheaded play every once in a while, but he was our most consistent player last year and the dude can go on a tear at any moment.

Assist to Turnover has no direct correlation to winning. Let look look at the league leader in this category.

    1 Kevin Ollie,
    2 A. Peeler
    3 Gary Payton
    4 Earl Boykins
    5 J. Williams
    6 John Stockton
    7 A. Williams
    8 Tyronn Lue
    9 Howard Eisley
    10 Nick Van Exel
    11 Charlie Ward
    12 Travis Best

Francis is not the best passer but he is a better point guard than anyone we can get for Mobley.

Andre Miller is a better passer than Francis on a very talented squad. Has the Clippers done jack this year. No! Francis is not a perfect point guard but his positives outweigh his negatives.

Agree, but don't forget the Cat is doing this with toenail injuries that would keep most players on the bench let alone playing 40+ minutes per game.

Just wait and see, Steve & Cat are going to be like Bagwell & Biggio were you can't trade either one of them b/c you will hurt people's feelings. So instead we sign them to big long tern contract and watch them get richer and older w/ nothing to show.

Yeah, now that no one has claimed it, I came up with Cutturnover.

    Okay.

USUALLY no one trades BIG for SMALL.

But Mark Bryant and Mark Blount for Shammond Williams. Isn't that BIG for SMALL?

    Hmm...I don't know.

Okay. Steve Francis can't play shooting guard. He isn't great at point guard.....but man. Whenever he defended ALLAN HOUSTON, Allan Houston just shot right over him....swoosh. He's too short. Mobley is short too but has long arms and can play defense.

Yeah. Trade Mobley for Duncan. :p

Do the CBA allow for trades after the trade deadline by using the waiver wire, just like baseball? :)
