Trade CP3 and rebuild or embrace the "win now" strategy?

Discussion in 'Houston Rockets: Game Action & Roster Moves' started by Aruba77, Dec 10, 2018.

?

Trade Chris Paul and his enormous contract while we can?

  1. yes, move him sooner than later; rebuild around Harden and Clint

I don't put nothing past nobody. Anybody can get injured at any time. Sometimes teams report stuff and it really isn't what it is. They're being extra precuatious with him. I also think it's a good thing if the Rockets play without him from time to time in case he does end up injured in the playoffs. And maybe Knight is coming back from his injury so he can be showcased for a trade.

IMO best cp3 trade scenario is a draft night trade after playoffs because cp3 is the best play maker after seeing harden choke time after time.

Remember harden was 0 for 20 in three pointers against golden state!

What's gonna happen in playoffs when Andre iguodola guard harden? What about when Draymond Greene guards harden?
$hit...Klay Thompson might shut down harden ...again!!

Yeah and rockets might get Denver in first round.

It’s a shame hardens prime being wasted . Harden right now is the best offensive player in the league and sadly Paul is breaking down. At his best Paul was slightly below a prime Harden but now he is not even in the same planet

how about trade cp3 for assests and still focus on winning now with Hardem. CP3 in his current state will not get us a ring, he conned morey just like Nene

It is a shame rockets defense is 28th team rating and rockets got worst road record among Western conference top 4.

Hard to imagine rockets was #1 last year.

Harden is only bright spot as this team limps into the all star break!

Far-'weed' as a reclaimation project isn't really worth bragging about, but after the untiming exits of carmelo and capaela we hope for the best out of far'weed'!

Cp3 offers a glimmer of hope aswell beyond the little which was expected considering what golden state brings to the table!

I have no idea who would even entertain picking up CP. Gordon Hayward is about as close as I can guess, but thatst the saddest thing I can imagine CP getting traded for.

Gordon Hayward be out there looking like Mike dunleavy jr!

Danny ainge will not trade his ashe out of Boston....so he lucky or else his ashe would go from team to team like Jeremy Lin!

Harden is locked in for 5 seasons while Paul is locked in for 4. Both super maxes no one is going anywhere where.

Try to get the Jazz to take him, they can't sign stars anyways. Also their franchise player Mitchell has been mentored by Paul since he was a kid. It's the best fit for a trade I can think of.

Sell it to them as black John Stockton lol

it would be amazing fit... i think cp3 has his best years in front of him.. that he now suffers from some small nagging injuries doesn't mean hes done...cf so quick to kneejerk

Go for 2 small but useful contracts like Vonleh and Bullock quickly if possible or even one of them and look for another buyout ala Faried. Getting Ja Green will be harder. Stay the course, Chris will be helpful once he is fit. Desperation will get us no where.

You trade CP3, you are never beating the Warriors.

So, why do you want to move him if you believe that his best years are in front of him?
