Only an idiot would boo a great talent like Bush, much the same as Vince. One thing to consider if we draft Vince, he is going to take time to develop which will set us back several more years, is that what the Texans want to do? By adding Bush you are just adding such an explosive weapon.

On a second note, either Carr walks as an unrestricted FA and we get nothing or it is unlikely we trade him. You don't sign a guy with a $5 or $8 mill bonus only to trade him and eat the cap money immediately.

True, I do make predictions, some are true, some don't work out so well....

This one is written in Granite though.

    VY is da man.

I can't help but think to myself a guy like Dan Reeves would be MUCH more comfortable recommending a draft pick of Vince Young over Reggie Bush.

    Consider his track record.

I think the texans are in an extremely tough position now. As much as I want Vince to go back to school for his senior season, I don't know if there is any reason left to. And if he does come out, the Texans would be fools if they passed up on the hometown "Superman".

The question is, how do you get rid of Carr? He has an 8 Million option that has to be picked up and which team is crazy enough to not only pay him that money, but give us a draft pick for it? Also, trading Carr would be a statement that the Texans organization has made a mistake 4 years ago with the #1 pick overall and I don't know if they're willing to admit this mistake.

My ideal scenario would be for Vince to go back to school for his senior season (winning a heisman and another natl. champ), we trade down and pick up an extra #1 next season. Pick up D'brickashaw Ferguson. Next season, trade our 2 #1's to move up and get Vince. I doubt it but hey, a guy can dream :p

Vinceanity should be taken no questions asked. This will also ensure that all UT fans will become Texans fans. You can see the Cowgirls getting jealous already!

The Jets might be willing to take a flyer on Carr actually.

Or we could just suck next year like all the anti-Bush naysayers claim, so we get Young straight up.

VY is great...How do you not draft someone with this type of talent...Bush is fast, but VY gives you more options...

I really hope that Vince Young stays in Texas one more year. I believe that even if he came out in the draft this year, we would still select Bush. That would mean that the Saints would draft him and Tennesee would probably get Matt Leinart.

Funny how one game has so much impact on everyone's choices.

I feel the same way. Yeah Vince had one hell of a game, but everyone is saying the same things about Vince today that they were saying about Reggie yesterday.

    Easy solution to this...

Send feelers to New Orleans and Tennessee to see if they would be willing to take Carr plus Davis for the #2 or #3 picks. If one or both of those teams are willing. PULL THE TRIGGER. GET IT DONE.

Draft Reggie Bush AND Vince Young and send every NFL defensive coordinator to the insane asylum.

    I have spoken.

They'd say no. Davis isn't worth a pick in the first 3 rounds and Carr is probably only worth a 2nd or late 1st rounder.

    What options would that be?

If VY plays against nothing but horrible zone D in the NFL with defenders standing 2 yards away from receivers like last nite, then he'll be a Hall of famers.

Everyone get real, VY is not ready to be an NFL quarterback. At best a Michael Vick clone, in essense a running back in QB spot. Oh and how many running QB's have let thier team to a Super Bowl???

    Fran Tarkenton & .........

VY would be better suite to convert to a WR position in the NFL.

Bush is the way to go for the Texans.

    Really?

82 yards on 13 carries, another 95 on 9 receptions and another 102 returning kicks. Two-hundred and seventy-nine all-purpose yards. The only unimpressive thing about Bush last night was that ridiculous lateral.

Wanna know what I'm unimpressed by? Pete Carroll. There was talk about this moron replacing Capers? Did anybody see his Patriots teams play in the NFL?

Fourth and one with immortality on the line and you've got your Heisman Trophy winner on the sideline? Really? Did ANYbody think White WASN'T gonna get the ball up the middle?

Reggie Bush was OUTstanding last night. Unfortunately (for Reggie), Vince Young was ungodly.

DD was rookie of the year right? Carr is worth more than you think, probably not a top pick package but certainly teams would be willing to listen.

Insert Carr and Johnson into that scenerio and you may have something.

Carr is easily equal to if not better than Leinart w/ the NFL experience, plus you get a 1,000 yard RB to boot. Its amazing the range of opinions on this. people complain that we shouldn't take Bush because we have Davis but he isn't worth a 3rd round pick??? A package of Carr and Davis is easily worth a high 1st rounder. I would even consider throwing in Mathis to sweeten the deal.

Not to mention that Carroll's gameplan on D was horrid.
