And maybe we can package Head & Snyder for another versatile front court guy. There is still time!

guys landry can play SF every bit as well as Bonzi did. He has a pretty decent handle for his size, we just havent seen it yet because he has been parked down low when we play small.

I do like that they brought in a backup PG as I don't think Brooks is ready, even though he is very promising. Jackson should be able to handle both the backup PG spot and compete with Head for SG minutes. I don't think this is a bad trade as long as he can still play the point and hit threes at an oky, but not great rate.

Caveat..I haven't seen him play in a while, but his stats suggest he hasn't become a complete scrub.

Is there any problem with that? Is there any rule that members who did not post much cannot start posting more? :D

I may not post much but I did visit ClutchCity/ClutchFans almost everyday. I was in Houston studying during the championship years. English is not my first language and I am not a talkative person anyway so I didn't post much. But I do love the Rockets.

He's an expiring minimum salaried rookie. There's a good chance the Rockets waive him. They are under the luxury tax enough to sign a vet or a promising player.

Bonzi in the Big Easy... well, he stands to gain a quick 20 lbs. in the next 48 hours down on 'da Quarter' so maybe it won't come back to bite the rox too soon... but beware the ides of March and beyond...

If shooting 20 percent means he can shoot it, then yes....Landry can shoot the three.

What's will be the amount of money saved after the end of the season from this trade? Secondly, can the Rockets use it to re-sign Landry and keep the MLE to sign another player?

Nothing wrong with that, I just find it interesting when I see people who have been here for years and have 15-20 posts. Nice to see you posting, I don't see anything wrong with your English.

Well it looks like it helps the Hornets this year and who knows whether it helps us next year.

I would not be surprised if Mike James comes out of his funk and helps them. Bonzi, too.

Hard to be happy with this one, if that is all there is. Maybe it can be like the David Wesley trade for Jim Jackson that looked so bad at the time.

Give me a break. Let's completely forget how Les allowed the Rockets to go after Artest a couple of years ago despite it would have pushed them into the Luxury Tax, as well as the moves they made in the offseason that put them there now.

And, this isn't making a move to help the team win? Come on.

You CAN'T solely rely on a rookie PG during a playoff push. You just can't. They now have a veteran guy who has been through the wars, knows how to win and won't get rattled in a critical 4th qtr. The Rockets, before this trade, had NO ONE with that kind of playoff experience. NO ONE.

And, everyone screams about Rafer getting too many minutes. Now, you have a guy who knows the system and will give you solid minutes so that Rafer is not play 35+ minutes a night.

For everything everyone complains about what we lose in Bonzi, but BJax fits this team much better. Bonzi was relegated to a jump shooter most of the time because of Yao and TMac were doing. We all know that is his biggest weakness.

IMO, we traded away one marginal player that was a misfit, another insignificant player and got a marginal or better player who will help the team more all the while losing James' contract sitting at the end of the bench. Win-win in my books.

Everyone is screaming about this deal, but I guarantee you by the playoffs everyone will feel the exact opposite. Then, you will feel even better when they move BJax's expiring deal next year to upgrade the team.

Thank you and nice to meet you here also.

Anyway, I just hope I am the one who is wrong and dumb about this trade.

    But here's the thing.

It still needs a league approval. There is a conference call that still needs to happen today.

And here's what I want to know:

Why are the Grizzlies involved at all in this? Why isn't it Bobby Jackson for James+Wells straight up?

What's this "minor involvement with the Grizzlies" all about? So we're still talking and working out things with the Grizz?
From what I'm reading, Cavs and Nuggs are done with the Grizzlies.
Also Denver-Artest trade talks have cooled down.

Something is going on....why else are the Grizz involved with our NOLA transaction?

Grizz get Vinicsious or whatever along with draft picks and rights to Badiane. Simple as that. Hopefully someone fails a physical.
