He's a 6-8 shooting guard from Iowa. I think he led the Big 10 in scoring his senior year, which was a couple of years ago. Good 3 point shooter.

Man anyone would be better than MJ for us..James was a negative everytime he stepped on the floor with th exception of one or two games early in the season.

    no argument there.

And Bonzi wasn't going to be the difference maker of getting us into the Finals either.

I don't see the Hornets getting beyond the Lakers or Jazz even with Bonzi, so we didn't help them out that much.

under adelman, he was always in the mix of discussion as 6th player of the year / most lethal weapon off the bench.

if bonzi is an adelman player with 1.5 years, then bobby jackson is an adelman veteran with 5 years. when bobby jackson was a big part of adelman's bench, the kings were fierce. almost went all the way if it werent for some questionable calls.

the talk with that adelman cant do his game so much cause he doesnt have the personnel. bobby j is that personell. or at least, he was. bobby j >>>>>> mike james.

Huh, why? The Hornets have one of the best PGs in the NBA who penetrates and kicks (and Jackson plays on the court with him at the same time alot) along with West and Chandler inside and Peja drawing tight coverage. He gets a lot of open looks with the Hornets.

Maybe it's just because he want to play for his hometown. :(
Anyway what can we get back next season for this trade?

Well, if T-mac is sucking or.... then its all moot anyways. They weren't going to be making a magical run with Yao+Bonzi.

Yao+T-mac draw a double team ON EVERY POSSESION... far more than Paul, west, Chandler, or Peja.

That may change if T-mac continues to struggle to score... but for now, its not even close.

Im just glad that we are finally done with the big contracts of Cato, Howard, and James....FINALLY.

Should pay dividends this summer and next years trading deadline.

So you're good with the team continually positioning for salary cap space, while never making a move, when nearing the playoffs, to put the team in a position to win??

If so, you suck as much as our BS owner.

It's obvious that Houston is a football town......many need to brush up on their basketball.

This is a good trade for both teams......it's very easy to see that.

    Good for the Rockets.

Rafer was averaging over 40mins a game and the team can NOT afford to put the offense in Aaron Brooks’s hands if Rafer goes down. Brooks needs time and the rockets needed insurance behind Skip and Bobby is better than insurance....he's proven and a winner. And for those who say he's washed up....all he did last night was make 5 3pointers in 27mins. The team needs shooters....we got a gunner people and at 34/35, you're as old as you feel. I guess he feels alright.

I hate to see Bonzi go...especially to the big easy, but you have to make bold moves and I'm not about the question Darryl now. I don't believe it was JUST about cap room either. Look, bonzi is a good player, but he doesn't walk on water and for those that say he's Tracy's "insurance plan" ...please! Averaging 9points a game? If Tracy goes out...then we have NO chance...period. I hate trading him to a rival, but 6mil a year for a guard we don't use (mike James) is steep.

I actually see them making another move before the deadline. I think the Rockets are still fishing for a big catch (Artest) and needed a guard to replace Aaron Brook.....

OK. It is not the time to b**** anymore. Let's hope we have another plan on the way. If not, then just wish the team good luck and hope the chemistry is still there.

OK, so who takes Bonzi's place? Landry? I guess I'm ok with that.

I'm guessing we'll now see more of Scola & Landry on the court at the same time with Hayes as the backup 4.

    Rafer/Brooks
    Tmac/Jackson/Head
    Battier/Landry/Novak
    Scola/Hayes
    Yao/Deke
