I think Adleman couldn't figure out how to beat the Hornets, and needed Bobby to give him the inside stuff.

Well good deal. Rox needed another pg, Jackson played for adelman so knows his system. Bonzi minutes were getting less too many players. Mike James well he would never play so good to get rid of his contract.

At the end of the day..... We got rid of James. WE wont have Bonzi or Jackson on the roster next year.

So Adelmans telling me Synder is going to get some time? haha i wouldnt be surprised if another player is added.

a back up PG with 7 years of playoff experience. not to mention a few of those years with adelman. brooks is starting to look better, but he'd be eaten alive in the playoffs.

i'm just trying to find something good about this.
bonzi wasnt a super duper dominant, walk on water player.
but he did have a role within a recipe that was working.

chemistry is such a weird thing. maybe it was bonzi's mole that held it all together. maybe the 1 to 3 dunks he did each night was enough to spark the rockets. whose going to get exciting dunks 1-3 times a night now? mcgrady????

Bobby Jackson is the insurance policy to Rafer struggling, and this team with both the inability to hit outside shots, and guard some faster/smaller perimeter players (Chris Paul, Parker, Williams)

He wants Max type of money, he turned down a large extension from the Bobcats.

We just made a direct division rival that much better. Oh but that's ok cuz we just saved $1.4 million on Les' car insurance.

...and he's a stop gap. He's not going to be in the Rockets long term plans. Brooks will be.

So has the Grizzlies deal been finalized? Are the Rockets giving up a second draft pick or the draft rights to Malick Badiane? Hopefully they keep the second round pick. Badiane is playing in second division basketball in France, ie more or less French D-League.

Brooks is an undersized SG playing PG. He is NOT Allen Iverson and most likely never will be. He'll be lucky to be Earl Boykins and the odds of even that happening aren't that good.

Wake up people. I'll be suprised if Brooks is here 5 years from now.

I'm apparently in the minority, but I like the trade.
We get a backup point guard that knows RA's offense and puts Rafer on the bench.

We managed to trade James away?!? That is great. The guy had negative value. At the end of the year we'd lose Bonzi and still have James sitting on the bench. This way we *hopefully* have some value at the end of the year. Our streak of older players sucking could continue, but eve if it does, we'll be out of Jackson's contract after next year (That is how I understood the contract situation.)

This trade does everything for me. Addresses a need and improves salary cap.

Man, I wake up this morning wondering if the Rockets had pulled the trigger on the Artest or Mike Miller deals only to find that they traded Bonzi and Mike James for expiring contracts in the form of Mike James's clone and a scrub...

right? i hope so. that dunk against the kings was sick. i was at the game yelling "I WAS THERE! I WAS THERE FOR THAT WHEN CARL LANDRY FLEW!"

and then he topped it against cleveland.

bobby j has 44% shooting under adelman. so hopefully once bobby j gets back into the system where the ball is moving and popping, he can start getting lots of easy swishes.

One more question here ... does anyone who know Bobby Jackon well could pls tell me if he's REALLY better than MJ ?

NEXT season we still have SF3 @ PG and also Brooks ... so why we trade another guard in ?

    And what about Snyder ?
