Well we got snyder from the hornets for peanuts, I doubt they want him back.

But something's a bit fishy, if we're looking for a salary dump why would we trade for Rasual Butler? He has around 14 million dollars left on his contract.

the problem with a salary dump it's not immediate, jackson has another year on his contract. even if it were the rockets will only have the mle. that's not going to get a free agent that would put them instantly on par with the moves the other big guns have made.

gasol and shaq are locked in for the next few years. kurt thomas will likely re-sign to be the spurs's mcdyess, ie top talent signing for bargain rate because he's a vet.

If Julian Wright is included I'd be all forward for the trade. The future would look a lot brighter with his talent.

Mike James' contract becomes an asset next year. Why not just hold onto it since the Rockets are currently competing and are only 4 games out of FIRST PLACE with a game against the current first place team?

No he isn't, he doesn't even really get that much run and he hasn't had too many games to where you see the old Sac king bobby jackson. He played in adelman's system but that wasn't with Yao and tracy so don't know if he really fits right now.

Rockets are a poor shooting team. Butler has the skills to help them in that area but he's also a part of the problem why the Hornets don't have a bench.

terrible trade bonzi has been very productive lately and bobby jackson has been far removed from the player he once was for sacramento..heck pargo has taken over his spot in the rotation for good it seems now and jackson is very injury prone.

plus you dont trade with a division rival midseason unless you get by far the better end of the deal which it seems the hornets would be in this case imo even if james isnt playing much in houston.

I hope Morey says no to this and laughs in their face

unless the one or two other players in the deal are chris paul and peja then yeah I'd be willing to part with james and bonzi

Yea this pretty much sums up my opinion on this.

No Artest/Miller, just forget about it and stay with what we have.

I just hope the Rockets announce the Artest/Miller trade first before the Jackson trade so people don't get mad. That is, if we do these trades at all.

Mike James has 2 more years left after this one. Bobby Jackson only has 1.

That said -- either the Rockets REALLY want to give Luther Head more minutes, or this would be a precursor.

Mike James contract would be an asset in 2 seasons. He is a player option around 6.5 million the next season do you really think he will turn that down? It is not an asset it is a curse.
