He seems to always go right. And his 3 pt shot with his leg stickin out can't be good for consistency. I hope he's as good as a finisher as I remember way back when. He does bring toughness though and someone who's gone deep in the playoffs. Still hoping for another move...

First, let me say this: I don't particularly love the trade. I think Bonzi was fairly valuable for us.

    ...but to answer your question:

ABSO-FREAKIN'-LUTELY! He's a scoring guard on the downturn of his career, but he's honestly a pretty good passer. And yes, Bobby is one of the toughest players in the entire league, mark my words. And add to that that he's about the most positive locker-room influence you could ever hope for.

    Guys, guys calm down!

Look at the bright side, at least we didn't agree to send RyBo back to the Rox!

You know, I thought it would be a good idea to get Jack off the Blazers, and we end up getting Jax off the Hornets.

    Close enough.

Well, in terms of money its good for the long-term health of the team I suppose. James taking up a roster spot on the bench and collecting paychecks for x more seasons wouldn't be a good thing.

    however,

But wells was one of the few players on the team that could create his own shot when he wanted to.

And if we trade him away with brooks for a PF then I'm gonna have nightmares of more PT for luther at point.......

What happened to MJ's non-trade clause?

I say good trade. Bonzi has worn out his welcome for me, especially after his embarrassing and ridiculous season last year. He came in fat, unprepared and depressed about his boneheaded decision not to accept the contract extension from the kings.

He played horrendously in the beginning of this season. He was a turnover waiting to happen and couldn't shoot worth a lick. He's been playing better recently, but too little too late for me. He playing for the next contract and is desperate to get his numbers up. I believe that a championship team needs a great core of good players and I don't see Bonzi here next year to continue to build chemistry.

You have to wonder why Adelman would be willing to part with Bonzi if he was so valuable, especially with the history between them. I believe he was not as valuable of a contributor that all naysayers think, and his numbers bear that out. Rafer, Battier, Scola, and Landry have all been more valuable IMO. I'm curious to see what BJ can do for us.

Not to mention he's more willing to pass the rock than James is.

it's just a trade-kicker or something. You can trade him but he gets more money whenever you do it.

So far, the Morey transactions that got panned have worked out well... the Morey (or at least Morey-era) transactions that gave everyone boners have not worked out well.

Yeah, it's a salary dump, but I take it as a good sign that so many people are freaking out.

i was thinking, Morey must have some statistical information we don't know about that will make us better....

EDIT: WAIT, Malick Badiane maybe part of the trade also? MOFO!!! I was high on him, I guess after experimenting Spanilous last year, they are done with trying to find gold in the second round, with the exception of Landry of course.

Why does everyone think this is Morey's doing? He could just be following orders from the guy that signs the checks.

Because Bonzi is a spur killer. If the hornets want to win the west, they must beat the spurs.
