Yes, I concede it was a salary dump but the team got a QUALITY backup PG...someone who plays with guts, and attacks the basket AND CAN HIT his free throws.

So, if you are going to dump salary at least do it where it can improve the team.

I would rather wait until after 3PM to say anything.

I agree. I see Luther and BJax as redundant. Just 3 point shooters. Jackson has a slightly better handle, simply because Luther's handle is so poor. But Jackson is not a distributor.

Rox shipped the only guy who drives. Now Rafer become the guy who drives most to the basket.

They have similar body type, but their games are very different.

Synder doesn't post up, so not much use of his bulk. Synder is about half a rebounder that Bonzi is even he is more athletic. Neither has much a jump shot -- that is the only thing common. Synder is dumb as a door nob.

Clutch, does "normal people" attendance even matter?

Isn't the entire lower bowl & a ton of the upper deck sold out for the season? I mean, yeah maybe some folks/corporate types don't show up but the "seat money" has already been accounted for, hasn't it?

Maybe Sacremento is the team that really wants Bobby Jackson. Ever think of that? Morey might have bought a trade chip. God I hope that's the case cause I'm still pissed off at this trade.

That remains to be seen. If B.Jackson plays well consistently it will help, but Bonzi's loss will hurt us too IMO.

You don't sump salary before you plan on making another move, you dump it after you have assurances of the trade. In other words we shouldn't dump salary in the hope of getting Artest, only if we know we will.

This move makes us worse off if indeed there are no secondary moves.

Bonzi has been ATROCIOUS on the post up this year, and is a turnover waiting to happen when he posts up.

His defense Sucks......and he is leaving at the end of the year.

The only redeeming quality that the Bonz brings is attacking the basket, which Synder is arguably better than him at doing...

    I like the trade....

The bright side is Head will no longer have any playing time hopefully. Brooks for Artest is a no brainer now.

So putting out a worse product will drive better attendance? Houston's a fickle lot, you have a winning team, they will come out to play, and 17K a night isn't poor attendance.

I just don't see how a 35 year old player at the end of his career with all his numbers down - a guy who averages 2 assists and change is going to make us better then Bonzi who was a nasty rebounder at least and filled in very well when T-mac is hurt.

I don't know, it's just disappointing, I would have rather we stayed pat and not disturbed the chemistry just to save a few pennies.

Jackson is not the same guy in Sactown anymore. He shoots 37%, and is going to be 35 in a month.

This only helps Les's pocket this season.

    LOL at "It is time!"

You have been hating on Bonzi all season, I liked the toughness he brought to a soft team-and his cuts in the lane consist of 50% of his scoring and about 100% of Yao's assists. He was a great bench player for us and he would only get better in the playoffs....

BJ now is another Rafer, good point skill, poor shooting, some clutch. loss of Bonzi is big, now Rockects don't have immediately bench scorers who can create his own shoot. and Bonzi is really strong for offense rebound. It must be a second trade. Otherwise the cheap Mr. A. is really blowing off this team.
