    well....

to be optimistic, we were pissed when we drafted AB. look how great he turned out. And the scola deal? damn that was robbery on our parts.

This move better not be the move that hurts morey's stellar season. I REALLY hope some sort of mike miller deal is in the works now, more than ever. Snyder is NOT going to work.

Can we fit in Harris and stay under the lux tax?

I'm getting sick at the thought of losing Brooks.

I'd rather ship out BJax and the rest of expirings for either Artest and Kenny Thomas or Miller, Cardinal, and Lowry.

Thats because we had clutch shooters like Horry, Cassell, Maxwell... they were deadly accurate beyond the arc. Every championship team is different. But IF 3 point shooting > offensive rebounding like you said, I don't think Bobby Jackson would help us in this regard anyways? Well, the deal has just been done, I hope it makes the team better...

I am extremely worried there is no other deal in place.

Damn...I thought Bonzi was fitting well w/ the offense.

I hope Jackson stays healthy or this trade will really suck.

So, I think every playoff contenders in the West now has made a trade this season.

Clutch, do you think that's all there is to this trade then? Just a cost saving measure?

Well, I'd rather not look at it this way, but if we were for some reason destined not to win in the playoffs this year, bonzi becomes a free agent regardless and we have bjax's contract instead of mike james'. I'd rather be in that situation if I knew for sure that we wouldn't win it all. Of course there's no way of knowing what would have happened with Bonzi in the postseason, rather than Jackson.

Since this was all Les, are we under the luxury tax now?

Suddenly I have a feeling that Morey may be a Michael Scofield type guy.

gdamn. we traded a bonifide lowpost/slashing threat for a 34 year old dude who might or mightnot be a good shooter on any given day. Wow.

We better get mike miller cuz im reaaally hating on rockets management right about now.

James is gone because of the trade, get back to your senses!! Francis is out for the year with a torn ligament.

You have Alston, Brooks, and Alston. By the way Head is not a point guard!!!

i guess the rockets figure that hornets will get taken out by the spurs or suns before we have to face them.

I totally disagree, Bonzi has been struggling a bit this year and has been terrible on the low block.

I think the Rockets figured that backup PG was more important than backup SG/SF.....

Bonzi is either Gold or crap....and I think we had no other option if Rafer was struggling....I like the trade.

Clearly they dumped salary too....but getting rid of James was HUGE......now they have a good expiring contract NEXT year .....

    A good solid tweak.

Right now that's exactly what I believe ... but I don't know for sure. I haven't heard anything whatsoever about a second deal. Things can change though as you get near the deadline... but this reeks of salary dump to me.

They said "minor move" involving the Grizzlies....

minor= Mike Miller???? There is no way.

I love the fact that we got rid of James' contract, but let's be honest here...we are not the Kings, nor are we the Grizzlies. We are in "win now" mode and we shouldn't be trading just for cap purposes. we should be doing what the Lakers and the Mavs and the Suns did and go well above the luxury tax if we were really serious about it being "our time".

it's like, c'mon man... i was all for a big impact player like A.Miller, M.Miller or Artest...but if not those guys, why tamper with a roster that seems to be gelling when you are one losing streak away from being out of the playoff standings?

I am kinda let down... but still a little optimistic. The Rudy Gay fiasco has conditioned me.
