I think if bonzi become more aggresive as soon as he touch the ball instead of waiting he would kill out there. He looks like he could fit after wathcing last nite game, but it's all up to him.josh howard could not guard him iso on the low block...If we trade him we nee fire power some kind of way.I wish we could find a player like stackhouse that dude kills us everytime.

I'm pretty much dreamcasting here, but it's a thought to take my mind off of that game last night. The Clippers sit about a game out of the #8 spot, but they're not the same team as last year. There's been rumblings of Dunleavy handing the reigns over to Livingston as the premier point, meaning they MAY be open to trade Cassell. Given his contract and Donald Sterlings penchant for saving money you can make the case that they'd be willing to talk.

I say, Bonzi Wells/Sura's contract/Spanoulis/and a future draft pick for Cassell. From a basketball standpoint it's not that bad. They add a low post scoring option off of the bench to compliment their slashers/shooters in Maggette/Thomas/Mobley. They still have a shot at the 8 spot in the playoff's all the while clearing up cap space for the offseason.

No chance of it happening but not the most obsurd suggestion. Oh, if Cassell were here he'd be the starter, no argument.

Your concern is easily fixed, Yao. When Yao gets back, any double team Tmac will pay. Even if Alston gets worse, move Tmac to the PG, Bonzi/Snyder at SG, Battier at SF, Hayes/Howard at PF, Yao at center, man, we are golden. No need to panic after one game. I agree that Bill is not ready, that is why I hope we can blow more teams out of water so that Bill gets more time when Yao comes back.

Cassell is good, also old. It takes one injury to bury all your hope. I will stay put, no need to worry. Things will be much better when Yao gets back.

LOL - Sam stalks me instead of actually making a point in a thread.....typical.

He gets consistently owned by me so he has to try to boost up his ego by posting somthing derogatory.

In fact this thread was inspired by the ENTIRE season's watching of Bonzi trying but not quite fitting, and watching Synder play harder each and every time on the floor.

Why not let us know what you think about Bonzi Sam, instead of just coming in to attack the messenger, put your .02 in......inquiring minds want to know.

DaDakota I will save my actual reply for the next thread you start today ok? or maybe the next time you take a simplistic point and then try to bludgeon it into the ground by posting an inane variation of it in 14 different threads at once, which, if I'm right, is probably happening right.......now!

Now, reply to me, please, with some silly response about how you lay it all on the line and how I never express my opinion, lol.

LMFAO. I thought this was hilarious considering how cold it has been the past couple days. Anyways, whoever said that this board is bi-polar is absolutely correct. One game changes everything for you guys. Snyder has ONE good game and everybody loves him now, but before he got hurt, all that love was not there. I remember in the beginning, when Bonzi was starting to get into a groove, fans were screaming for Bonzi to play more minutes. Even hating on JVG to play him more. Now, he has a bad game and everybody already wants to trade him. Make up your minds!

If we had won this game, this thread would not even exsist no matter how bad Bonzi played. But since we lose a game, everybody goes into panic mode.......every single time. Seriously, I don't remember one game where we lost and somebody DIDN'T propose a trade, line up change, ect.

It is not about one game, it is about watching Bonzi trying to fit in with the team all year. It is about how well the Rockets were playing with Synder earlier 14-6...

It is about matchups and athleticism, it is about the right fit.

Those of you that are thinking it is about one game are missing the point......

Bonzi has not proven to be greater than Snyder......and we have needs at other areas....why not move him?

He is a tradeable asset, and to me seems redundant on this team.

    Sam,

You are the BBS' arrogant smelly old uncle. The guy who thinks his intellect is so vastly superior to others. So much so that you come into threads where good discussion is happening and try to make it about yourself by hammering others and their posts.

You're schtik is tiring.......if you have a point of interest concerning this thread by all means post it. Otherwise you are doing the typical Sam Fisher Troll job....

Class is not your name is it Sam...

    Stay Classy Sammy diego !

Bonzi attracts a double team from time to time, Snyder doesn't; Bonzi's passing ability is decent, I can not say the same for Snyder. On the other hand, Snyder seems to be more mobile right now, but he didn't have many good games to convince me yet. Snyder stands out when we played Bobcats, Bonzi had 15 vs. Spurs.

Would've been nice to see if Snyder could've pulled in one of those loose balls or long rebounds last night that seemed to go to the Mavs every single frickin' possession.

Actually I agree with you about the Spurs. I think that Bonzi does give us an edge against them.

    But pretty much, only them.

I just think that the Rockets have 2 players in one spot that are about equal, and needs in other areas.....

Bonzi makes 2,115,000, you can trade for up to 125% plus 100,000

    which would equal $2,743,750

so is there any PG possibly available within that salary that would even help?

But if you added Bonzi & Sura's contract together doesn't that get you close to the MLE?

Would you trade him? Do you think that he is more valuable as a tradeable asset or as a rotational player for the Rockets?

really? i like watching bonzi look like he's buried in concrete as he watches the ball go right by him

i don't think we need to trade him, as his skills can really really help us (see spurs game). he doesn't really seem to fit in with this team, i mean he even talked about missing sacramento and wishing he was there. right now though, i dont know if trading him will bring in enough to warrant losing the potential we have with him.

The only players usually with contracts that small are either rookies/2-3rd year players or guys that signed for the vets min. or LLE. I agree that Bonzi is our best trade bait, but it depends on who we get in return if we should trade him or not. Because outside Yao & T-Mac, Bonzi is our best scorer. We are going to need his scoring and ability to create his own shots when our role players are not hitting their open shots.

I'm not sure. I've really never thought about it. If we could trade him in a package to get a PG, say a Sam Cassell or a PF like David Lee, then i'm all for it. Especially since Bonzi is gone next year. I'll even take Jose Calderon, he's been playing great lately

Obviously I wouldn't want to trade him for Jeff Foster or Sebastian Telfair...and sadly, thats what he's worth right now
