I guess I'm old fashioned, but my coach would just pull my hiny out of the game and sit me down when I took a bad shot. We have professional back-ups for gosh sakes. Take him out and put them in EVERY TIME he makes a bonehead decision. His decision-making is bound to get better... if he has some professional pride.
We don't need another guy that can't shoot. Everyone seems to want to trade Rafer because he hasn't been hitting the open shot. Since T-Mac has become a "play maker," I don't see why we would need another good passer. We need somebody like Mike Bibby or Chauncey Billups.
wow, everyone is bashing this cause they think TJ is that much better than Rafer? I like TJ and all..but come on..undersized, fragile, can't shoot all that well.. and a lot of guys around the league think the team is running better under Jose freakin Calderon.
Most teams could use a star point guard like Mike Bibby or Chauncey Billups, not just the Rockets. ;-)
I guess "a lot of guys around the league" must not include Sam Mitchell since TJ has been averaging 32 mpg and been the starter for all 23 of the Raptors game thus far. I personally don't put a lot of faith in that BS +/- stat from 82games, and apparently "a lot of guys around the league" don't either since TJ is +5.6 and Calderon is minus 8.3. TJ's real value...and why the trade is being correctly and soundly ridiculed here...is that he could actually push transition and get easier baskets before setting up in the half court. Then again, maybe "a lot of guys around the league" just failed to notice TJ's FG %ages are better than Alston or that Calderon shoots 20% behind the arc or that TJ is #5 in assists per 48 compared to Alston at #53. Very easy things for "the guys around the league" to miss.
let not forget that Rafer got in a fight with the head coach in Toronto. this is like the pacers wanting to trade for Ron Artest.
