Here are my views: 1. Mentally he is afraid of injuries for attacking rims 2. Phisically he is NOT fully ready to attack the paint what ever he used to. Based on the last four games observation, it is fine for his first time move with the ball, but not good enough for his following moves, especially his jumping action when closing rims. 3. Once again, I think it take awhile for him to recover back.
sorry, but do you guys not realize how many times tmac took it straight to the hoop against memphis? outside of his four missed threes, the vast majority of his two point shots were off of him driving inside the paint. it would be nice if someone could post a pic of his shot selections for last game. i saw a tmac much improved (3pt fg's aside of course)
Some fans are really too tough on T-Mac. It is still the very beginning of the season, in my eyes, his sloppiness is much better than another injury, let him adjust slowly, he is a smart guy, even we will never see that pre-injury T-Mac again, I believe he will find the way to help the team. Just be a little bit patient. Haven't we done the same thing on YAO two years ago?
tmac is donezo...but yao can still lead us to the championship!!! tmac can still be a big part but his best rocket seasons are way behind hom
sina.com just had an article regarding why TMac is lost http://sports.sina.com.cn/k/2006-11-09/00122554760.shtml. The main reason is because Rockets made Yao #1 of the team instead of him.
yes considering how many shots tmac puts up, yao is #1, really vg told tmac to reign it in, and it sure has worked
I'll never go to sina again... too jerky... sports.sohu.com is much better and it's the yao's official website....
In the midst of a horrible team performance, I thought he flashed a few signs of life. Should be interesting tonight.
Good news, T-Mac is shooting better FG% than Chauncey Billups, who for some strange reason is dropping 31 FG% right now while shooting 89% at the line. T-Mac is 35% FG and 63% at the line.
That is really nice exccept we aren't getting the W's..we are 2-3 and played awfull last night....this TMAC is not good for the rockets...we need him to be a superstar to win consistently...if you think that he is playing Team ball, you don't know bball very well...how is shooting 34% from the field and 18% from 3 pt range team ball? How does that help us win? He needs to drive the ball..period..end of story..
Its easy to see that T-mac has has a hard time playing with David Sterns Balls... I don't know if they are just to sticky or slippery but he doesnt like playing with them.. Maybe we should trade T-mac for someone who is a consistant outside threat, drives to the basket, has a high FG% inside and outside the paint and can demand double teams...( Also someone who likes Deavid Sterns Balls ) P.S. yes it's early in the season but if we were able to get a superstar in return for T-mac I would do it.. Also his FG% and his 3pt % have been declining ever since he got here.. Balls or no Balls that is a Major thing to look at.. DECLINING
Ummm...so considering he was injured last year...for most of last year, I think that is understandable, no?
Luckily he has more help around him, the free throws has me worried though, simply because he's having to work hard to get 20 when he used to make it look effortless. It certainly doesn't look like the guy that once had a 61 point game. But I'm going to give him to the twenty game mark to get it together (the whole team for that matter). Everybody is settling in, so far we've done what we were supposed to gotten the win at home, and beaten the non playoffs teams, but this team is going to find another gear I'm confident of it.
I don't have a problem with the shot selection against Memphis its about one three pointer too many, but if he's open I expect him to take the shot. I really think its a rhythm thing more than anything you can tell his timing or his release is off. props to the Kaiser for the graphic
