If he gets microfracture surgery, it's a career for Tmac. At best he is done till his contract ends next season. You need to rehab like crazy to over come that surgery.

If only he broke down a little less we may have been able to put together a really solid starting 5:

    Alston
    Carter
    Artest
    Scola
    Yao

Brooks, Wafer, Barry, Battier, Landry, etc... off the bench.

    Oh well...

Losers like yourself should be ashamed. Sure Tmac has been crap this year, but its obvious why now.
I bet you werent bashing him when he was carrying this team while Yao was out when we had scrubs in this team?? averaging 30,6,6 to winning records.

Can we not support our players when he would obviously be heartbroken about this??

Get well soon Tmac!!! and heres hoping you can come back as good as you have been in the past!!

Holy f'n a...I thought the site got hacked for a minute when every single thread on the first page was brand new and had similar titles.

Aside from any upcoming trade, at least this team knows what to expect and how to approach the remainder of the season.

I'm sure no one wanted him despite Les' statements.

I'm glad he's shutting it the **** down.

He's been worthless all year, what a terrible waste.

Depends on the size of the spot, and how big the microfrature surgery is, it is a fairly easy surgery, with a minor arthoscopic like incision, and the recovery can be as quck as 4-6 months, but usually takes about a yearish.

So, maybe he comes back at the end of next year, and the Rockets can get a decent look at him for a future MLE type of deal.

If he was not ready to be a new type of player, he has no choice now.

I don't like the drama, but I hope he gets healthy, for his own sake.

If its really microfracture surgery, how can any Rocket fan actually be happy about this? Bizarre.

What a freakin' letdown this season has been.

I'd say Vince looks pretty good right now. I wonder if the Rockets are still pursuing him.

Could it still be possible to trade T-Mac to a team that would want his services for next year. Just saying?

Any possibility McGrady got butt hurt after trade reports for Carter? Now he doesn't want to play anymore, making the decision to get surgery?
