You guys talk like Tracy is some Jazz fan plotting to take the organization down from within. Isn't it possible that he just needs the ****ing surgery? I guess everyone just needs a conspiracy.

wow...was just tuning in so I could watch nba fastbreak and the first thing I see is this. Well, hopefully this is for the best and who knows when/if we'll see T-Mac on the court again in a Rockets uniform. But now other guys are gonna have to step up like always when someone goes down...hopefully someone like Von can now get consistent minutes and prove to be a vital piece down the stretch.

i dont understand.. every1 who wuz begging tmac to sit out and be traded should be happy. hes not doing this to sabatoge n e thng, if every1 complains about his production and what hes not doing hes obviously going to be dealt at some point, so why play through a season at half streak with all the negativity when he can get surgery come back full strenght and get dealt for something closer to his worth.
congrats to every1 who duznt want mac here, your wish has come true

I am suspicious of Tracy's actions......I doubt any professional sports team's medical staff is incompetent enough that they are unable to detect an injury requiring microfracture surgery. I doubt Tracy will actually require microfracture surgery for his so-called "injury" and is just declaring himself injured so he isn't traded to the Nets or another team. In my opinion what Tracy has done is extremely shameful and unbelievably selfish. That he would go so far to prevent himself from being traded. Lets hope Rockets tell T-mac to "stay the hell away" from the team a la Pacers style.

I don't want T-mac to come back in the playoffs 'ready to dominate', it will totally disrupt our team chemistry (which I am sure will be awesome without the presence of T-mac sulking around) and most likely reduce our chances of getting past the second round. With T-mac out I actually think the Rockets have a better chance of advancing to the second round. The offense will flow more freely and most importantly Artest will be allowed to do his thing. We are 10-2 with Artest & Yao in the lineup, better than if we also had T-mac.

SAS believes tracy wants to get the surgery and be back strong to have a "big season" next year b/c he's a free agent in 2010 also.

maybe tracy is now motivated knowing his career is on the hinges.

Well, the only thing I could think of about that video from Stephen A. Smith is this.... the guy's an idiot.

He claimed that McGrady should get through with Microfracture surgery (he DID mention Microfracture surgery btw...) so that he could come back and have a great next year since everyone's only talking about LBJ, Wade, etc for the 2010 FA. Does this guy even KNOW what the timetable is to return?

Now, SADLY, the best scenario for the Rockets might be that he's lying through his teeth, which is kind of sad.... In replying to what someone said earlier, he can claim surgery all he wants until the deadline. He doesn't actually HAVE to have the surgery afterwards. I'm not saying that's the case, but that's a very creative scenario.... If that is the case, I have lost respect for him.

I want him to do well. I am not sure what this will lead to for the Rockets. .... This is just confusing.

I am happy that he is sitting out the season; it helps the team and it may help him too.

The team even said they felt good and more comfortable when they beat the nets by 28.

"We had a great game passing the ball," said Battier. "When we pass like that, everybody gets good shots. When you move the ball like that, it creates more confidence in our shots and good things happen when the offense flows like it did tonight.

    - t-mac got to watch.

Yeah... great idea. Tracy is gonna go through microfracture surgery to prevent being traded. I never knew he loved Houston so much.

That means there must be a trade soon, I'm afraid.

T-Mac's leave may make the trade between Rockets and Nets more possible.

"They certainly cannot believe that is not where it will end up."

    Huh?

Man, I'm so sick of this. A potential championship season goes down the drain.
