...and if you're keeping score at home, this meant that he couldn't close a deal with Chicago nor could he get a guaranteed deal out of the Bobcats. He's facing the harsh reality that teams don't value an aging 5ppg swingman like they do a 20 year old prospect/project with their final roster spot. Can't help that he was still refusing to play in back to backs last season. Hard to claim that your knee is 100% when you sit out 1 every 5 games.
It's really sad what happened to him. I have no doubt that if he stayed healthy we potentially could have won it all in 09.
here's another article about it http://www.cbssports.com/nba/blog/e...t-tracy-mcgrady-to-work-out-with-spurs-knicks Report: Tracy McGrady to work out with Spurs, Knicks By Matt Moore | Senior Blogger September 13, 2012 11:56 am ET Tracy McGrady was last seen in Texas as a locker-room problem for the Rockets. He could be making a return to the Lone Star State, and if not, there's another familiar location on his radar.
What a bum. Just retire already. Nobody likes a washed up diva has been. I hope current young and talented pro-athletes take notice of the faiths of guys such as McGrady, Iverson, Chad Johnson, TO etc.
What a professional and leader. Instead of quitting he is determined to work for peanuts. He is obviously doing it for Darfur. Machine Gun Baller.
