Tracy McGrady will be working out with the Clippers

The Clippers do have legit interest in McGrady and are scheduled to work him out Tuesday. As Clips general manager Neil Olshey told ESPNLosAngeles.com’s Ramona Shelburne last week: "Tracy and I have a good relationship. We've known each other for a long time. He and Baron [Davis] have a good relationship [and] we obviously have a need for playmaking and scoring on the wings.” But sources say that news of the workout being made public was also intended to let the Bulls know that McGrady does have other options, since Chicago is where those close to McGrady say he’d love to land.

I laughed a little when I saw the words "Tracy McGrady will be working..."

 

If T-Mac signs with the Clippers, I guess the Clippers roster will look something like this:

Kaman/Jordan
Griffin/Smith/Aminu
T-Mac/Gomes/Aminu
Gordon/Foye/Warren
Baron/Foye/Bledsoe


I only wish that I had a time machine. That way I could go back either 5 years into the past when T-Mac and Baron were in their primes, or I could go 5 years into the future when Griffin, Gordon, Bledsoe, Aminu, and Jordan will all be entering their prime years.

This Clippers roster will consists of 2 former all stars who are past their primes...

A nice center in his prime...

3 good bench role players...

Brian Cook

And 5 nice young players who are at least two years away from being ready to make any type of playoff noise...

All in all, this team isn't going to make the playoffs in the stacked western conference where teams need to win atleast 50 games minimum to make the playoffs...

Yeah Brandon had game! if TB could have stayed healthy, he and KG could have really done wonders for Minnesota. But it all comes down to health.

Watching some of these clips, it really makes me think (and hope) that McGrady can be an effective player. Maybe not the GO-TO guy like he was in Houston though.

I'm kinda starting to think that he's gotten criticized a lot by the media and by us due to injuries and inability to get out of the first round. As much as he says it doesnt bother him, i highly doubt that's the case. I think he puts too much pressure on himself to "shut people up", but it tends to work against him with that mind set.

I think he's just frustrated if anything. I do wish him the best.

With another year gone by, another summer for training and working out those legs, i think he'll be close to about 75-80% of what he was. pre-injury.

If it doesn't work out with McGrady, going for Rudy Fernandez would be an ice option for the Clippers. He would fill out the team well as long as his attitude doesn't get the way.
