i say take T-mac out the starting lineup... make him "hungry" again (as if he doesnt look like he's hungry already)
It's not just running when there is steal or a TO. You gotta be a willing runner to get into offense quick to have easier shots. This is what Toronto, Philly did to us, and other teams are catching up doing it in the league. What kind of bs offense it is, walking up the ball slowly, pass the ball to Tmac, and put up 20 ft J. And worse we do this 5 times in a row, while the opponents getting all the easy baskets. I think this has been the key for our loss. See how our 2nd unit did, the offense was much quicker, shots were easier.
I was mad at T Mac before the interview, but I think he really has a point. From what I got out of the interview without stepping on any toes it's the coach’s fault. We have no idnetity, Players don't know there roles ect... Last year Jeff use to take responsibility when the team would struggle sometimes, but then he would hold all his players accountable at the same time.
Yeah, but none of those teams have Yao. We run a motion offense (well, in theory anyway) not a Phoenix run and gun offense. Adelman utilizes the high post and we rely on cuts and screens to find the open man. So should we run down the court and then set up the high post? That doesn't make much sense. I do agree that too often we put TMac on the elbow and let him try to figure something out...usually that's a long jumper because 2 or 3 guys are cheating to his side of the court. That CLEARLY does not work. But if you look at when our offense was working REALLY well (say first half vs. Toronto for example) that's what worked. We got into our set and then guys cut, screened etc and we found good shots for Yao, Mac and everyone else.
Seems like T-Mac just deffered all the blaim to Yao by saying he more of the franchise player then him. its always something with this cat......ever since hes been here...i dunno maybe its me............i want somebody thats gonna kill you on the court......put your foot on there necks and push down!

Yetti-If players don't know their roles then this explains why when I look at the games I see players standing around , players moving themseves away from the action, stars taking the wrong shots, stars taking too few shots, stars not demanding the ball, no leadership, no floor general, no team spirit--poor coaching!!!

Haha its so obvious Tmac is trying to shift the attention of the fans to Yao when he is saying "Yao is the leader". Tmac gets all the criticism for the Rockets poor play and he is shifting it over to Yao.
When the Rockets win, "it is on ME"; when lose, it is all about "us" instead. You never saw TMac criticize himself, as you can hear from Yao's recent comments.
Listening right now. He said he's been waiting for Yao to speak up and express himself and is glad he did it. "Finally!" He said he would rather have Yao say "We're soft, etc" then himself, because Yao is more of the franchise player then he is. Hate to say it, but it sounds like a total cop out.
There's difference between playing well and losing for other reasons, and just playing poorly. Stop being a fake fan.
