    Not true.

    1) Kobe sucked in game 7, he was 4/12

    2) I can't say Ron was a good defender when he played for us. It seemed like the ankle bothered him all season long. His defense improved as his health did. He wasn't all that good on defense playing in Rockets uniform. Shane was much better.

He's a bum, a chump. Now he wants to coat-tail it with the lakers. The guy is a loser and will always be a loser.

No way he gets on the lakers, kobe won't allow it. Mark my words.

Tracy's a picture of stability. I don't see how anyone could question that.

When did he say this?

For his only and last chance at winning? I don't think he'll have problems listening to Phil. Hes been able to handle humongous ego after ego. He'll be able to control T-Mac.

If he seriously wants a ring, he'd join the Lakers. If he wants to be a starter, plenty of playing time and to do whatever he wants, he'll pick a team that won't be winning.

Well , granting that is true , its not as crappy as the Lakers-celtics game seven ;)

To sum it up, you can call ron crazy but he ain't stupid. There must be a method behind the madness.

I guess I saw this thread a little too late, but I wanted to add this to the first page responses:

Ryan Bowan to the Lakers in 2011? I think so!

    Yup.

I doubt he will play PG due to him not really being able to guard PGs anymore but he could fit in well.

Fisher is only getting older and his minutes should be decreasing...

WOW so many Rockets fan seem jealous that McGrady could be going to the favorites next year to win it all.

This is low risk - high reward thing for the Lakers. Calling McGrady desperate? Did you think he was going lead a rebuilding team on a long playoff run? What other player who will make the MLE at most next season wouldn't love to play for the Lakers?

Saying he wont work with Phil and Kobe because he couldnt get along with Adelman? C'mon MAN! Its one thing to be the highest paid player and being use to being the man in Houston and not getting along with a coach who has never won a ring. Its another thing to take a dramatic pay cut and go to team with the best player in the game and a coach with 11 rings.

Obviously going their he will know he is coming off the bench, so of you people are just so blind in your hate for the guy.

Have you guys seen the Lakers bench? Well if you havent, they only have one player on the bench, Lamar Odom.

I was a glad to see McGrady go this past season, but if the Lakers have a genuine interest in him, more power to him man, good luck. Hopefully Houston can take you guys out next year. To be the best, you have to beat the best.

Lol @ the people who are really angry about this.

Are you also angry and critical of Chris Bosh who is in his prime right now listing the Lakers as a team he wants to go to?

Interesting revelation, kind of sad to try to ride the coat tail of the Lakers.

If anything I would think he would go to different contender and begin fresh, a la kevin garnett.

Imo, it would be smarter if he followed lebron or boozer somewhere where he won't be considered a leech.

In all honesty, McGrady on one leg will upgrade that putrid bench of theirs tenfold. But in the end, if the Lakers want to waste 6-7 million a year on a player that can't give them more than 20 minutes a game, I see no reason to try and stop them.

"It's on me...to fulfill my destiny as a role player"

"I'm going to make Stromile Swift into an All-Star...is what I would say when people ask me what are the chances of me going to the Lakers and actually getting a ring."

"I just imposed my will on the game...8 minutes off of the bench a night"

    Ron Artest shout-out to Yao.

Not sure what he said exactly because his rapping sucks, but I heard "Like Yao Ming"

I don't want Tmac to go to a team that can win it all without him. Tmac should go to a team like the Nuggets or Mavs, a team that needs him to put them over the top.

he wouldn't fit in with the Nuggets, I mean he'll be more of the same.

You put Tmac and Carmelo and JR Smith on the floor and someone will not be happy about shots.

Tmac with Dallas? Oh that would make ROCKETS FANS dislike Dallas even more!
    :p
