gustavo, i'm glad i'm not the only one with enough basketball IQ to recognize how t-mac is a perfect fit for the spurs. these spurs could now be the favorites to win the title this year. arguably the GOAT coach. arguably the GOAT PF. arguably the GOAT SF. arguably the MVP this year with their PG.
the spurs entire system is based on cuts and off-ball movement, almost the exact opposite of T-mac's entire game. Also, while I didn't watch T-mac this season, he's not exactly athletic anymore, right? He has a great bball IQ and I loved him when he was here, but I just don't understand why the spurs would do this. Watching them play basketball is like clockwork with the intricacies and timing. I don't know if he could fit in there.
Now I really hope the Rockets play San Antonio in the first round, easy win. Even if McGrady can't play, his presence is enough to jinx them.
He can cut and at his length to see over the defense he can help others cut. The other thing that scares me is he has nothing to lose and will be playing limited minutes so good defense. The spurs waived JAX for this meaning they had a good enough reason. With the long SF such as Durant and Company they will probably see it is a smart move. Low risk, high reward.
I don't know about that, but the other this is that for POP you HAVE to play D. T-mac can play good D and his length alone can provide problems. Lets just hope I jinx him if the rockets end up playing the spurs.
Remember everyone what has already happened with T-Mac this season......... Qingdao Double Star Eagles went 16-16 last year in the Chinese Basketball Association. Their owner wanted to go from a .500 team to a contender. So he signed Tracy McGrady to a $1.3 million contract. Keep in mind that the CBA season is only half as long as the NBA season (so that's like a $2.6 million NBA salary rate). The rest of the roster from the previous season remained intact........... So what was the result of the T-Mac signing for Qingdao? The team went 8-24 and finished in dead last place in the Chinese League.
Feild goal percentage is incorrect. International basketball doses not list field goal percentage as a stat, like the NBA does. He actually shot 49.5% from the field.
Spurs are panicking, I guess they aren't as good as I thought they were. I hope Kawhi Leonard throw bricks, so I can see TMac throws more bricks.
