If I remember correctly, didn't he play pretty significant minutes for the Hawks in the playoffs last year? Was that last year? Mind is foggy and too lazy to look it up, but for some reason I remember him playing minutes and even playing somewhat well against Boston in the first round (obv in a losing effort lol).
I really hope we get the Spurs first round. It would be glorious knocking them out with T-MAC on the squad. I can already hear the boo's from Toyota Center..
90 minutes through 6 games against Boston, 10/26 from the field, 6 assists, 17 rebounds, 10 turnovers
even if we do lose to the spurs and tmac gets past the first round, it would be worth to have heard all the boos at TC. Sure there were a lot of great memories with him here, but we are all overshadowed by his poor actions. NOW BEAT LA!!!!
i would be surprised if he sees any meaningful time on the court itself during the playoffs IF he is on the playoff roster.
These were Tracy McGrady's official stats in the Chinese League, during the 2012-13 season: http://cbadata.sports.sohu.com/players/statistics/501553 49.6 Field Goal % 33.3 3 Point Field Goal % 72.2 Free Throw % 25.0 Points Per Game 7.2 Rebounds Per Game 5.1 Assists Per Game 1.6 Steals Per Game 0.6 Blocks Per Game 2.8 Turnovers Per Game
So fifteen minutes a game when he'd spent the year with the team and was younger than he is now. I'm really not convinced that he'll see any significant time in the playoffs. However, there's always the chance that playing more minutes in China has helped him feel comfortable dealing with his physical health and how to handle it during games.
