that doesn't change that Magic Johnson said that. He said when we were WINNING, not after the playoffs, during the playoffs.

Dude you have home court, there's no "IF".

The Rockets in 95, DIDN'T have home court.

There was no ifs, there was Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, David Robinson and Shaq.

That team just had to deal with Okur, Boozer and Williams

lol yeah I must have been missed something because I watched it with a foreign commentator who did not compare us to Shaq and Kobe.

Well I guess JVG is Phil Jackson next.

All I am saying. Mavs favored were beat by the Warriors and years later won against the Heat.

Everything is possible if you can extend your stars' career.

Will always be my favorite basketball player of all time. Despite all his flaws.

I think his flaws have caused some people to under appreciate the greatness that was present in his game. In a different situation perhaps he might have ended up as all time great. I don't think that should count against what he did accomplish and how thoroughly enjoyable it was to see him play in his prime.

    Yep.

It is what it is though and I still respect him. I hope he reps the Rockets rather than Orlando when it comes down to him and I hope they give him a appreciation night this upcoming season. He was a great player a memorable player IMO so that's that.

As for his injury problems, didn't he have the crooked back? Could be that his body just wasn't made to hold up after all these years. It is certainly true though that he was content with his game, I remember him saying that himself and thus he never had that Kobe mentality. Which is fine, not everyone can be a what 5 time champion and MVP.

Funny, they don't want to mention She-Mac quitting in the middle of a game and just hanging out at mid-court. What a putz! Bye-Bye pouting millionaire!
