Sigh. Yet another topic that comes up all the time.

For all of Lebron's talents and potential, I'm going T-mac all the way. Why?

    1. Because he's already shown that he wants to play on this team, and is committed to the Rockets. He practically forced a trade to Houston, and he's lobbied hard this offseason for Free Agents. Who knows what's going on in Lebron's head. Is he getting pressured to play in a big market? Does he want to go to LA or NY?

    2. T-mac is building a special chemistry with Yao. They seem to genuinely like each other, and are starting to play off each other on the court. I don't want to break that up. We don't need Yao to get paired with his third star in 5 years. There's only so much change and upgrade can get you. Eventually you just got to let your guys settle down and build some chemistry. And Yao and T-mac are building some very nice chemistry.

    3. T-mac has gone through his growing pains. He's had all the setback and is ready to do whatever it takes to win. Lebron is still learning that. Check the stats. Pretty much every month last year, Lebron's shot attempts went up, his scoring went up, but the team wins went down. He's also a poor defender that only goes for the steal. If the pass gets through, then he gets pretty lackidasical with his on-ball defense. And from the games that I've seen his defense on pick and rolls is very unimpressive.

Lebron's got a lot of gifts. But what we have in T-mac is pretty special too.

with the way tmac is playing, I'm staying with him even if cavs offer to swap them without the 1st rounder...

and god... I wish clutch can give a max limit of how many post someone could post in a day. especially for useless, beat to death topics like this.

jr, if you want an opinion on this topic, contribute 10 dollars and become a contributing member, then do a search. there are god knows how many post about this already...

I'd rate my top picks as:

    1. TMac
    2. Bron
    3. Kobe
    4. Duncan
    5. Moochie

Wouldn't do that deal. LBJ may have more upside, but T-Mac prooved it all to me last year. Also another trade of a sidekick might sour Yao into leaving when his contract is up.

Can a mod lock this thread? It has flames all over it.

    Thanks,
    J

    hmm...

could have sworn I weighed in on this already...guess I just thought about it.

Without a doubt....Tmac...he is the more complete player right now imo...his passion and desire is reaching its peak and his ability is top 3 in the league.

Draft picks dont mean jack...Im far more interested in someone that can contribute right now...and draft picks are rarely capable of doing that.

IT almost sickens me sometimes to constantly see some of yall planting your lips upon the backsides of other team's players and not giving our own guys the credit they deserve.
It seems some like to jump on the bandwagon of whoever ESPN is hyping with very little regard for what you have in front of you...Amare...Bronbron...screw both of them...Ill take Yao and Tmac every day of the week and twice on Sundays...
They are two genuinely good guys that Im proud to have on my team.

Hey, I think it's an honest debate, and you can throw other players in the mix (i.e. Kobe, etc.). The way the poster comes across is not the best, but it is a good debate.

When you say "and a 1st round draft pick," that for me tips the scales to say no. If it's a trade straight up, it's tough...Lebron has a big body...Tracy is looong. I think it depends on how the rest of your roster looks, otherwise it's ALMOST a toss up. I pick T-Mac 1.) I just love the guy 2.) i'd be too lazy to go through the trade process :p

I'd take TMAC because he's a rocket, he has just as much talent as James and he loves Houston and loves Houston fans. I also would rather have the ball in TMAC's hand at the end of the game because he is more of a clutch player with a killer instinct IMO.

However, I must say I have not seen anyone with Lebron's talent and potential. He throws some of the most crisp passes i've ever seen. The guy is good, but I love TMAC.

LJ is a very good player for sure. But no support? look, he got big Z, a all-star center, Gooden: a yound and good player aside him! LJ defense is horrible, horrible! only Z play some D in that CAV team. maybe LJ should go to JVG summer camp

what about TMAC, besides YAO, who else he got? and HOU made 51-31 in the west

Just remember the Rockets vs Cavs games from last season. T-Mac was a man on fire and destroyed Lebron every time. I could tell he was trying to show everyone that he's still the King, not some kid.

Its tempting and all, but didn't T-Mac outplayed Lebron in all of their matches?

I'm not a Lebron James fan.

Gotta go with my man T-Mac.

maybe LJ needs to get into the playoff in the minor league first before people can brand his as a leader with heart. Kinda a cheap shot, i know, but seriously he had a mental meltdown last year.

T-Mac right now is the better player overall. Lebron is slightly better on the offensive end but T-Mac is significantly better on the defensive end. T-Mac kept Nowitski in check with mostly man to man coverage in a 7 game series. I seriously doubt Lebron could do the same.

Steve Kerr has more intelligence in his pinky finger than you have in your whole body.
