If Tracy manages to make a comeback he'll be nothing more than a washed up star with a below-average jump shot.
lol, did you guys here the rocket rap song somebody called in with? Freakin hilarious. He got run when he said "dont flop like the jazz".
I would love to see Tracy back on the court next season. If he can get ANYWHERE near his production from last season (07-08), then I would welcome him back with open arms. Especially if we can bring back a guy like Von Wafer.
Rome is the best interviewer there is on the radio. Not all fluff and butter-up questions, but still a great deal of respect.
3 and 4: How's Tmac? You take any pics with his new born son? Since you know this kind of info you must know him personally. 1 and 5: Same thing; how do you know he's a horrible teammate? Have you spoken with each rocket player? Yes you are stupid. Coolguy!
One's 23, the other one is 30. Of course Wafer will have a better future than McGrady NOW. Von will never be the player McGrady ever was. Period.
Wouldn't anyone who plays (pro or not) have passion to play injured or not? I've played ball my whole life but had to slow down because of my knees. I can't play all the time now, but I still have a passion to play. This guy is so full of excuses it's ridiculous. I mean seriously, to say he's lost his passion for the game is more of an indictment on his character than it is his health. He says his injury led to a drop in passion. I think his lack of passion on the offseason is what led to his injury. He has it backwards. He just doesn't have the desire to put in the dirty work. He wants to simulate his season and start playing in the playoffs. This year it came back to bite him, his team, and all of us Rocket fans.
He is like a setting sun, soon to be forgotten. He never has both body and mind on at the same time. When he healthy he not motivated, when he motivated he's not healthy. Dude got a mindset of a girl. Retire don't come back next year and give us half so we can sign someone else.
It was damage control. He mentioned that he was rehabbing hard. He mentioned that he was sad about Deke. Then he did damage control when Rome asked him about who would make it to the finals. He basically bashed the Cavs, then he goes the Lakers.."if they get passed my team.." Then it was a massive Kobe love fest. He talked about going over to Kobe's house and how Kobe is so awesome. They questioned his 'killer instinct', and Tmac said "his is more like Tim Duncan" The big screwup he did do was mentioned that he may have lost his "passion" during the injury, but said he has it now and is fully motivated to come back to be the player he once was.
PR to the rescue. Does anyone really believe Romey wanted to interview a player thats NOT in the playoffs?
If you're talking about a brighter future over a 30 year-old aging star that is injury prone and probably will never reach even half of his prior status than a guy who is 23 years old. If you're talking about a brighter future as in one that will eclipse T-Mac's career, you're getting way ahead of yourself.
Considering it's a storyline that's brought up every year with T-Mac, and this year's Rockets have shown the ability and promise to get past the first round without T-Mac, yes, I do belive Rome would want to interview T-Mac.
