Yeah he is totally full of crap. He was fat as hell at the start of the season. Obviously trying to set himself up for another contract by contradicting the critisms on him
Oh and also, the guy criticized McGrady for saying "he is now motivated to come back and be the player he once was" by saying he is only motivated because this is his contract year. Lawl
breaking new!!! Sounds like Tmac doesnt provide any ammunition to clutchfans here to bash him, well done, Tmac.
God Tracy. God. Nice to know you werent motivated. At least someone told him how to answer the "who will win the title" question. Cant wait to win without him.
Romey asked if the Cavs were Championship ready. T-mac said he said by championship, he thinks the Cavs would make it, but that he didn't think the Cavs could beat the Lakers or the Rockets. He said the Lakers would have to get through his team, the Rockets, because we're going to beat Portland and it'd be a good series. But he said Kobe was the best player on the planet and the Lakers have the size and defense to win it compared to last year. His take was like most, so I don't have any beef with it. He's just giving his opinion. What was really interesting was hearing him talk about rehab. The frustration of the injuries the past few years, rehabbing after last summer's surgery, feeling good from it, then finding out about the microfracture. He talked about the last few weeks of going on a machine for 8 hours a day and how he feels like he can get back to where he was. The best part was listening to Rome talk about the killer instinct and their talk about Kobe and LeBron and him. T-mac talked about how he would hang out with Kobe's family and how Kobe as a teenager would say he was better than Jordan. They discussed where a guy gets that killer instinct from, because Rome pointed out that Kobe grew up in upper middle class, T-mac said back in the hood you would say a guy was built for it. Kobe was made for the purpose of playing this game, like Tiger's purpose is playing golf. It was pretty funny and interesting to listen to his insight on it. They talked about LeBron and T-mac said LeBron has it, but in a different way. LBJ is more of a team player and goes about it a different way, while as Kobe wants to win and take your heart. Sentiments expressed by Romey and T-mac. Romey asked T-mac if he's always had the killer instinct, T-mac said yeah, but it's developed and he's different. He used Tim Duncan as a comparison, saying Timmy will kill you on the court, but you won't see him express it as emotionally, in a way it seemed like T-mac took comfort in this comparison, admitting he's just not as expressive, but he cares down inside. He admitted people can take it the wrong way, when he doesn't show emotion, but he said he cares. He talked about Deke, how when Deke went down last night he was watching the game on tv and how his heart sank. He said everyone should have the experience of having a teammate like Deke. He praised Deke's work off the court saying the guy is a true professional. That was the gist of the interview. Take it for what it is, but he was pretty candid, talked about losing passion, but getting it back and wants to play bad. Granted, most Houston fans are done with T-mac, but I for one, I still want the guy, if healthy, on the roster. Nagging injuries take a toll on you mentally and I think this time away from the court will hopefully awaken him as he is reaching 30 and you only have so many years. An insightful part of the interview was when T-mac talked about talking to Kevin Garnett, how KG told T-mac to hang in there and it'll happen. Overall, it's not going to change people's minds in either camp. Houston fans are overall mad, but the nation is reacting well to the interview. Tracy was candid and came across well for our team though.
he's living in chicago to be with his doctors, he said he'll try to make as many of the games as they'll let him, but he's taking all their recommendations seriously...flame away, i assume many of you will say this is bs, it's not true, he just doesn't want to be the team, w/e just telling you what he said
It's funny to read the Tracy Homers saying "see...see...I told you so.....he just said that if LA gets by his guys that the Cavs couldn't even beat us" LOL I'm willing to bet that After Carmichael Dave's interview the other day, Ron Ron either gave Tracy a call directly and lit him up OR Ron Ron mentioned it to The Rox organization and they got after his azz......This Rome interview isn't anything but a cleanup job Also, don't you think that there's a certain guy buy the name of Bron Bron who might take exception to all of this crap that Tracy's spewing?
Who cares what BronBron thinks? It wasn't even that bad and it's true. Kobe's competitiveness is a totally different level than any other player.
I thought it was a very candid interview. I enjoied it alot. I do hope he can come all the way back. Good Luck Tracy!
tmac obviously has some seriously problems, but anybody that says von wafer is better than tmac right now is insane. if that were the case, wafer would be the clear go to guy to put us on his back in the 4th quarter and get us to a win while yao struggles with late game fronts. tmac is still talented enough to be that guy, even if it doesnt work out in houston. tmac >>>>>> von wafer
If you are talking about over his career then obviously a guy who is just now getting minutes has not had the career a 2 time scoring champion. If you are talking about moving forward then you are high on crack, Von Wafer has a way brighter future than TMAC.
I can't wait till he comes back. I think it's funny how people like to kick him when he is down. He will be great again.
Finally he does an interview where he did not make a controversial statement. I guess his PR has stepped up since the last interview, which what he said wasn't really a big deal but of course you just need to watch how you say things, when you say things, and what things you say.
