Don't like to hold the stars of basketball teams accountable huh?

McGrady gets paid the max to produce 48 minutes a night, not the first 36. If he wants to take a quarter off, please not make it the 4th !

Maybe the likes of Sura and Wells playing on the court will make the Rockets tougher.

Good post. Agree 100%. No one would take the ball to the hole hard when the Spurs made their run, all I saw was a bunch of hurried jumpshots. The milk drinkers were playing last night, instead of the knife fighters (ie. Wells, Sura and Hayes) who are really missed and needed.

I agree with this 100%. The Rockets only had 1 of their 4 tough guys on the court (Battier).

your whole analysis of TMac is unwarranted and short sighted. It was a team lost and its funny people continue to say that Yao is the leader and the best player on the team, but deep down inside they know Tmac is the one who holds the dagger.

Yao just didn't haven't tonight. That's the one thing that concerns me about Yao in a playoff series. Can he bring it every game when the physical contact is much higher.

I was disappointed with T-Mac disppearing in the 2nd half. That's when he usually brings it.

The majority of his stats were compiled in first half, he was just standing around in the 2nd.

The same TMAC that gave away our 19 points.

i agree with this topic. t-mac's not what he used to be. if u saw clips of his orlando days u wouldve seen he was so much more explosive and always attacked the basket. now he's turning into a jump shooter. there needs to be a chance in the line. rafer isnt cutting it. i still cant believe we gave up mike james for him. i dont care what anyone says mike james and bob sura were the toughest players on our team two yrs ago. i say give v-span a try and bonzi needs to come back.

tmac definitely is not the same player when he was in orlando now...
JVG is not going to play vspan and novak yet, especially that game were even our superstars were feeling the pressure... vspan and novaks time will come so be patient, that game was against the spurs so dont panic...
and bonzi will not play until he gets himself physically ready.... :)

Tracy McGrady is a finesse player, there is no getting around it, He was, he is and he always will be. I for one, am quite happy with that !

Come on. The entire team gave away the 19 points. T-Mac is no more responsible that Yao, Battier, Head, or Rafer.

Tracy McGrady actually tried to create for his team the last few minutes, he didn't shoot until the very end until there was no choice but to jack up 3's. It's not his fault if they aren't making it, it's his fault if he doesn't take into his own hands. I'll admit last night he took it into his own hands too late. We all know what Tracy McGrady is capable of, he's still got it, last night he was doing everything the old T-Mac did including driving in. What he missed last night was his 4th quater heroics. He was too unselfish last night. Shane Battier, Luther Head, Rafer Alston. etc. should not be the players shooting in those situations if they're missing shots... It should be Yao and McGrady. Yao was tired and McGrady wasn't shooting until too late. I don't think he's soft, I just think he didn't try to take over soon enough.

Although I do agree he should try to get the free throw line more. I just want him to take care of himself we can't have him injured again especially since Yao is doing so good this season. If we got them both healthy we're gong places...

This game was just a bad OVERALL (by the entire team) mental breakdown. Championship teams like the Spurs have poise. They never gave up. The Rockets don't have that experience or poise.

It wasn't T-Mac's fault Luther and Alston turned it over like 3 times in a row...

I remember when Duncan and the Spurs were a team of "softees."

I am absolutely agree with you!
T-Mac needs driving to the hoop, that's what he was expect to do, and that's his talent!

Tmac should have pulled a Magic and Bird and saved his energy for the 4th quarter.
