Come on DD, is calling me a "kid" the best way to approach the problem?

I don't question your age and your experience in this board, but going around calling others kid is not the way to go if you want to make a point.

I respect you on this board, but the reason my earlier post was made is because you're continously whining about McGrady even in irrelevant situations where McGrady couldn't have possibly affected the team in anyway.

McGrady disappointed us all, me especially (I WAS a big fan), but you as a MATURE man should know better than to continously complain on a situation where you can't possibly have any additional helpful facts and infos to add to. The whole McGrady thing is thrown out the window, we've beaten the dead horse enough. Now just leave it alone, it's only a shootaround.........

Well, I think it's a good thing he showed up to lend some support to the team.

It's also true, he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. Show up, and he's a a distraction, stay away, he's not showing support.

He's still a Rocket, so I like to see him show up. That's my take at least.

Considering he was hurt pretty bad this year, I dont think you can call him a quitter, since he did try to play through those injuries.

Obviously his defense suffered due to the injury, and that was a major cause of us losing games earlier this year. But when a man is hurt and trying to play, it hurts the team sometimes. Everybody realized that, and nobody wants an injured Tmac.

You don't win 22 games in a row without using the talent around you. Jordan, Chamberlain, Jabbar, Hakeem, Shaq, West...none of them could win over 10 games in a row without using talent around them, so Tmac did use the talent around him last year, namely Yao, Scola, Landry, even made Rafer look better.

This year, I again say look at the injuries. He couldn't turn the corner on a pick n' roll, he couldn't penetrate, and was limited to being a post entry passer for Yao and Scola and a jump shooter on offense. He didn't have the quickness to move without the ball either.

As far the number of touches, any star player will say that, no matter how hurt they are. Thats part of what makes a star, his confidence. JVG even said many times, the hardest player to coach is the athlete in decline, which Tmac was this year. Its hard physically, but probably the hardest mentally, because you feel that you can still do the things you could do when healthy or younger. But I can see how that comes off as being a lil selfish, but its not like he's the only star player who's ever said that in his career. I personally think Yao needs to tell Ron Artest that, cuz 13 fga is ridiculously low for Yao.

Give me a break, Captain pariah, you started the name calling crap with your little innuendo about a female dog, so cleverly disguised with a "!" in the place of the "i"....

Funny funny.......so don't go whining later, when you get called to the carpet.

Come on now......if you are going to live in a glass house, don't be tossing stones......

I would give credence to that if he actually did the rehab last summer, but he didn't, showed up out of shape, tried to play on his knee without doing the rehab and it "not surprisingly" got worse, then took the elective course of microfracture, instead of the alternatively recommended (by 4 other doctors no less) of strengthening the knee.

Look, it is his body, he can make the choice, and honestly, I would have a lot more respect for the guy if he was a hard worker, but he coasted, and it cost him and the team....which to me, is the crux of the problem.

And I can NEVER forgive him for quitting on the team on the floor.....and it was more than once, and not just under Rick Adelman...that says all I need to know about the guy.

Q-Rich even said that Tmac backs down from a physical challenge....guess he was right all along.

Tell me then, Do you realize it is common knowledge that the first things females do these days when they know a person they hate is to continously b!tch and whine about that person all day long? It's now even a stereotypical fact.

Trust me, I'm not the one whining here. I'm just telling you to leave it alone, afterall you're the "mature" one here and I'm just a "kid" to you.

P.S: Yes that "cleverly" disguised ! is truly innovative and a work of art indeed.

Clearly you do not know women, or how offensive that is to any woman reading this thread.

    Ugh...

The point is that it was uneccessary elevation on your part...if you don't like what I am posting about Tmac, fine.....do what you suggested...ignore it, that was a mature viewpoint.

But to then basically call another poster a degrading name, was not very mature.

I don't care if people like Tmac, and defend him, they are free to be wrong...what do I care?

    :D

Many of the Tmac fans still love the guy and are willing to forgive and forget, I am not one of those.....big deal.

Fair enough, I apologize for the unnecessary name calling.

The case I was making is the fact that you're a proud member of FATER yet you seemingly appear to post the most in all McGrady threads. I understand your frustration, but from my point of view it's becoming more like unjustified whines than facts and infos. Though like I said it's only my opinion, but for me I think McGrady has tried more than enough in the previous years to balance out what he has done this year. You think differently of course, and I respect that unlike Laker fans.

Though I should correct you on the women bit. It's a typical sterotype fact, but it's justified as well. (Just in case I offend any female posters it does not apply to all women of course :p ).

He'd probably hurt his back if he sat on the bench during our games.

    Haha this cracked me up.

In that case it'd be better if he stayed home for health issues.

I just want him to rehab well and fully recover soon. If he is ready during playoffs (that's wishful thinking though), we may need him if we face the Jazz. Correct me if I am wrong but in the last few season, a healthy TMAC
always give fits to the Jazz and the Jazz just can't seem to stop him (only if TMac is healthy).

oh youre not the only one that feels DD's opinions on tmac are getting old but it's a forum and that's what people do: post their opinions, no matter how myopic some of it is (applies not only to DD but a lot of regulars that i've been reading)
