Yea Dream also got in a fist fight with Maxwell and demanded a trade. All players have their ups and downs.

That's good to know. Hopefully if he takes us to the promise land and wins it all with Yao and Ron/(3rd option). Your opinion will change on him.

I'm not going to lie I do enjoy your post outside of McGrady and I have all but respect for 99ers. I guess we just have different chains of thoughts on Tmac. Hopefully that'll change come next year.

Dream wanted a contract when the people in Houston thought he was done.
We told him to not let the door hit him on the way out and he went toToronto.

But, we were right; he was done. It was ugly at the time.

Rocket fans don't have any class. T-Mac has given them 3 good years and plenty of heart but he gets no credit. He played so well in the playoffs last year with no Yao but does he get credit? Nope. Just a lot of snarky b****y comments.

those 3 or 4 people don't respect tracy b/c of what he did off the court, and that's fine. tracy did act unprofessional this year in how he handled things.

but tinman, you have to admit there are "a few" (or more) that simply hate the guy, despite what he did on the court for us (dude did play through multiple injuries and played well BEFORE this year). and he was still disrespect by those same people BEFORE this year. i know you weren't one of them so that's why there's no ill intentions in your post.

i think that ron's comment is directed at me. i don't hate ron. when he plays well (ala game 6 of portland to game 2, i raved about the guy). the thing about ron is that he actually thinks he's our best player. that's what i DON'T like about him and why i criticize him. he's not that good, and yet he plays (even when tracy was playing and even during his good stretches this year) like he is the best player on this team. and yet after the playoffs, it still didn't hit him that he's not that good. i'm shocked about that. outside of a few games, he played terrible in the playoffs and we won "in spite" of him.

if ron plays within his role (knowing how good he is), he's actually a great asset to our team. we all know what he brings to the table and why we appreciate ron.

that lebron comparison thread is stupid i agree. lebron is the best player right now and he has done more with less (and he's the ONLY player who can do more with less) than anybody.

tinman doesn't hate tmac. before this year, he gave tmac lots of respect.

antisonic on the other hand hated tmac since he got here.

Well it sure seems like it, hopefully no one will hate tmac next year, due to the title we'll win with the big 3.

I wish I could claim to have been wise to the deal since day one, but no. I had to learn about McGrady the hard way, just like every other Rockets fan.

    Thats what bugs me

People can call him with no heart and everything they want.

But honestly, the past three years not counting this season the guy has done everything we've asked except get through the first round which isn't completely his fault. Last season was a warrior season for him. He could have easily shut it down. But he didn't, so thats a player with no passion or heart.

i don't know how anyone can "hate" athletes, unless that person cheats or destroy the integrity of the game.

I don't understand how a person can hate anyone if they haven't done anything personal to you or has killed a person (s).

Hate is very strong word. I don't even hate Pippen, I dislike him for completely taking the city of Houston as a joke but no reason to rain down on him every time you feel need to post. Much less Mcgrady who gave his all for 3 years until his body just broke down, he just couldn't take it anymore.

I just think most of Clutchfans is hungry for a championship and since Mcgrady has been the leader for the past few years all the weight fall on him.

i have 20000 posts dude and have been here since the beginning, you can search and read about my opinions from day 1 of the tmac era.

i mainly didn't like juwan since i know he sucks cause i had nba league pass and saw his suckage in orlando and washington.

i've also been calling for ron artest way back in the day.

Well I do take it back, I've been here for a while too, my old name got deleted this year because i went a little too overboard on defending Mcgrady after the POR-HOU game where Roy hit that incredible shot and even though tmac decked 30 points people were still blaming him.

Back to the point. I've already said i have all the respect for 99ers, you guys built this legendary forum who sadly has been been polluted with some insightful posters... Hate him or love him, next year should be interesting regarding Tmac..

the Rockets are a roller coaster ride. If we didn't evoke any emotion then that means we don't care. We invest alot of time following this team and we just expect more.

    especially from Tmac.

    That's understandable.

It's a contract year, his public image has been shattered, everyone has given up hope on him and he knows it.

I believe he'll get it done this year. Patience will be the key for this board.

And if he doesn't get it done, we can still trade him before the deadline.

And even if he does get it done, we still might trade him and get more for him.

Point is, don't trade him now...unless you can fleece a team. But I don't think that's going to happen. People don't want him right now. He has to get back on the court.

it's kinda both in a way. Was a big Harlem Globe Trotters fan and also Gene Petersen big expression during the late 80's was "Sweet Lew Four Two!" that's where 4-2 comes from.

I agree. I believe he deserves a chance to prove himself that he can still be effective on this team. I love dream but I think as some have pointed out he has had some less than stellar moments. These guys will go as far as our coach and teammates can get them. It's been while since we've had role players that could honestly help. Give him a chance and I believe he deserves that. He has had some very unimpressive teams here in Houston. The fact is if they were that great we wouldn't have traded almost all of them. From the JVG era we've kept Shane Battier, Hayes only gets minutes when Deke wasn't here and Tmac and Yao are still here. Besides that Raefer is gone, Luther head is gone, swift, snyder, wells, juwan howard have all been shipped out. There is a reason why those guys were trashed and that's cause in my opinion they really did suck. If tmac can't play with these guys then it is time to ship him out. If raefer luther head juwan howard swift were really that great then theyw ould still be on this team. The fact is they were garbage and god knows why JVG kept them all those years. I love CD but man Daryll Morey should have been on board the day Rudy T decided to retire.
