Thats silly, you could also say we didnt get by the Lakers because we had no closer.

This year's team played well, no doubt, but so did the healthy teams that took Dallas and Utah to seven games. The difference was matchups...the Jazz and Dallas were a bad mathup for us, the Lakers and Portland were good matchups for us and thats why we got to the second round.

We didn't get past the Lakers when we weren't undersized. I'm not saying we should get rid of Yao, what I'm saying is the argument is r****ded. The guy was injured and the team played better. We lose Yao against the Lakers and we suddenly take the Lakers to 7. I'd be interested to know the efficiency and the defence rating in those games. Do they suggust that we should get rid of Yao? No
Does that mean our sample of 30 games with a injured Mcgrady should say that the team is MILES better?
    No its pretty simple.

And people who don't understand that are idiots.

I mean, they guy knows it is his last chance and he is playing for his future. He will do whatever it takes to come back and play well.

    It is pretty normal, though.

The best chance the Rockets have to win next year is if Tracy is healthy enough to 1. make the entry pass to Yao 2. hit a decent percentage of that ugly flat 3 pointer and 3. get to the hoop if the lane is wide open. Nobody is going to trade for him except maybe at the trade deadline, nobody is going to give you anything but their bloated contracts if they do.

If Morey can get a deal that helps the team, he's a genius; do it in a heartbeat. Frankly, just coming up with a 7 foot #2 C would be a masterstroke with our cap situation. So you can piss and moan about Tracy's 2009 season all you want and have the longest summer ever or you can hope that Tmac is motivated to come back to Houston for one more effective year. But calling him a loser is kind of a bush-league overstatement. Every team but one ends up losing, everybody faces their time of doubt and disillusionment. It's how you regroup and refocus that determines whether you are a winner or loser and the last page isn't written yet.

It's summer, people suppose be hopeful.

this is really a sad sad post man. You are throwing half this board "under the bus"

    How ironic is that?

So I guess Tracy knew Hill would be out all 4 years he was there. Are you forgetting that had the time Hill was a top 5 player? So that means Tracy wasn't going to be the star player, he was there to help Hill out. But as we all know Tracy is a psychic and he already knew Hill wouldn't play more 30 games in each season he was there.

Actually, T-mac went to Orlando expected to pay 2nd fiddle to hill. Everyone thought he's be his scottie pippen. He wasn't expected to be the player he blossomed into.

Are you sure? I thought Tracy went there so he could become a two time scoring champ, because he knew playing with Vince that couldn't have lead the league in scoring.

That's secretly what he wanted. His secret plan all along - he actually hired Tonya Harding to mess up Grant Hill's ankle.

half? you do a poll then. i did one before, and it certainly wasn't half the board who blindly support tmac.

i believe that half the posts supporting tmac are by YOU.

and do even think that I have even 1% of my posts about tmac, I think I wrote more about Juwan Howard than that guy.

I still like that you have Tracy McGrady - Finals MVP in your signature.

LOL @ all of you guys who are really arguing about McGrady. If this is what it takes for a guy to get hurt and for everyone to turn on him then I sure as well would like to know how this board will be if Yao or anyone else gets hurt and has to be out for an extended mount of time.

For you guys to turn on a guy because he was hurt is just child play. First they love him then they hate him and I bet they'll love him again.

I don't think Tracy will be able to make a good come back, but I don't blame him because the injury could have happen to anyone and he now has a bad shoulder too that just seen like too much to deal with at the age of 30. Don't get me wrong my mind is telling me he will come back better than ever, but heart says he won't.

'blindly supports" vs. "rationally defends" are two very different things tinman.

But at least you admit to throwing a significant percentage of fans under the bus. Your hypocrisy is complete.

    Really how?

I keep telling myself he will be back and thats my mind. But on the other hand I know deep down inside he may never be a good player again and thats my heart.

you are just describing yourself, you are getting into it with a larger number of posters, don't just single me or DD out cause we've been here for awhile.

you claim to be along time fan, I wonder about that.

A long time fan who seen class acts like Rudy and Dream wouldn't enjoy what Tmac has done to this organization this year with his drama.

When the other fans named 'tmac1 or tmac etc are more realistic about Tracy than you, then you know there is no one below you on the Tracy Fan hierarchy.

You dude are the Pryuen of Tracy fans. The one who can never admit fault with Tmac.

I hope you bought yourself a 50% ioff Tmac jersey, you deserve it.
You are the king of the Tmac universe.
