Your nick.. I don't know for some reason even though Aaron Brooks is short, that's not the reason why I thought you might be short. It's just the nickname "Brooksball" gives me the intention that you are short. No offense.

T-Mac had a pretty good game but the inconsistency is maddening. Does the guy really deserve some kind of appreciation thread?

No offense taken. I figured it might have something to do with my nick.

lebron surpassed kobe this year. it's not even a question anymore. most people around the L are starting to think so now (not just hoping).

he'll make all-nba 1st team (with most votes) and all-nba 1st team defense, wins MVP. mark it down.

You should tell that to coolblade587. Just make sure to have your measurements ready.

Hey, no question LeBron is playing really well. I just think he needs that MVP trophy to surpass Kobe, and also maybe even ring. Because if Kobe gets that ring with a dominant Finals performance, it'll stay the way I think it is right now. But right now, LeBron is the clear cut MVP, no question about it. I just think people overrate him defensively by saying things like DPOY.. That's not gonna happen, I don't care if he rejects shots the way he does, Jordan didn't get his DPOY like that, you have to have good man to man perimeter defense first if you are going to win it as a guard/forward IMO.

Jordan got his DPOY because Pippen was the one guarding the best swingmen.

Does anybody know of a site that tracks smiling statistics?

I imagine Grady is already the all-time leader. He's played over 10 years now and I've never seen a player smile so much when his team is losing.

I may track his smiles for a few games then estimate some statistics (career total, SMPG or :) PG, etc...).

No he didn't. I hope you weren't serious. Jordan and Hakeem are 1 and 2 (no particular order) in the best two-way players to ever play this game. You can't doubt that, unless you didn't watch either of them play.

Cut the crap. Come on, just admit it that Jordan was a good defensive player. I'll show you some video if you would like to see.

Jordan won DPOY in 87-88, when Pippen was a rookie, started absolutely no games, and played in only 20.8 minutes per game. But yeah, he only won the award because Pippen was carrying the load...

Scottie Pippen road the coat tails of Jordan almost his whole career. He was the Shawn Marion of the 90's. Just like Shawn Marion sucks without Nash, Pippen sucked without Jordan.

If he plays well one more time tomorrow, I will vote him for MVP! Or wait a minute, will he play tomorrow?

You say maybe now but I am sure you will say he absolutely has to win a ring to be better in your eyes. Well, maybe not you but a lot of people living in the past will. And then after that it will be something new, like he has to win a DPOY award or something. Another couple of rings. For some, it will never end.
