McGrady...if he plays 80% like this the rest of the way, even with his heat check heaves, he's a keeper.
The best part of tonight was it wasn't like T-Mac played like this to step up for someone else. We had all our guys except Rafer and Wafer. Hopefully Alston's presence at the point doesn't change T-Mac's energy level. I'm really surprised at his rebounding. We have recognized that Yao won't be able to rebound well against some teams, so it's important that our guards and forwards crash the boards to help him out. I think it's funny that both of our sigs were written by Francis-loving kids that think Adelman is out to get SF3. LOL
We'll see. I think Rafer being out and the Nuggets coming to town on a 16-4 roll had something to do with Tracy's effort. Either way, it's good to see the offense function well without Rafer. The Rockets didn't miss him at all. Of course, with 42 minutes played, it's good for AB the next game isn't until Friday. Luther was invisible.
It looks like Tracy tried real hard this game. Imagine if he played this hard every game (some games he knows they wont need him to go all out), he could be leading in triple doubles..
It's funny because before people here were saying that T-Mac only plays well when Rafer is on the court because he loves him. He intentionally plays poor when Rafer is out so everyone can see how valuable he is haha. I guess that theory is out the window. Applying the scientific method results in a failure.
That theory, plus the National Broadcasting Syndrome are among the best internet basketball theories.
Thank You, Tmac! Sweet Triple D and the best part he is not wearing all his accessories: Arm sleeve, Shoulder pads, Knee pads......
The only reason people on this board b**** about McGrady is that he makes a ton of money. If he were paid less, you would all get down on your knees and kiss the ground in thanks that we have him, even with the injuries.
True. even Fran Blinebury complains about that. When "seasoned" journalists think that way.. what else can you expect here? they talk as if its T-Mac's "fault" for earning so much money...
Who cares about how much money he makes, right now, it's about his game. If he can play like he did against Denver and Golden State, every night, he may go to the All-Star game. I also hope that he can finally build up enough strength to jump off his left knee, and dunk the ball. We also need his explosiveness and athleticism back. Hopefully it all will come soon.
yea it's so obvious he still jumps off his right knee (the stronger knee). we'll know he's fully confident once he doesn't do that all the time when he attacks the rim.
an injured McGrady is still the best player on this team. Without McGrady this is a lottery team, with him on the court, this is a title contender.
He is still babying it, but not nearly as much as he was.....he has yet to lift off of it, but who cares? He is such a great passer, and going to the basket has always been a key for him. DD
