What if he has a good game tonight?

I imagine the haters will still try and find a reason not to give him props.

But to answer your question, if he has a bad game tonight... I'm fine with a grilling as long as it doesn't go over the line.

All I ask is that he give 100% effort whenever he's on the court and he plays team ball. He did it tonight and made it look easy. Hopefully he keeps it up.

15 minus 3, by my count, carry the zero, add to both sides, take the square root, and you get 12. 6/12 is 50%...not bad for a 50 year old man. :D

But really. He was able to put up 24/10/9 with 10/10 from the FT line in his first game back and that still wasn't anything near what T-Mac can do. He was just actually trying to get himself involved this game, "testing out that knee" as Mike Breen put it.

10/10 FT's means he's making his FT's. But it also means he's getting to the line. Not just settling for jumpers. You can tell he was in the mindset to attack last night, and see where he was at.

I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't play like that tonight, as long as the team is playing well.

the no lay-ups show seems to hit extra hard on T-mac. For some reason, i think some of his comments to the media is towards them.

I don't despise T-Mac, but he has done nothing noteworthy since coming here. His part in the 22 game win streak was impressive, but his playoff flameouts (I don't care about his playoff averages. He disappeared against Dallas and Utah with 2-0 leads in both series when it mattered most).

I want him to succeed. People talk about his ability to take over a game. That's great. Who can forget that Spurs game where he did the unthinkable? Sometimes he just "imposes his will" on the game. Then you have players that do it day in and day out. McGrady will never be that player again. I appreciate him, because we can't win the championship without him, but neither can we simply depend on him either. Yao Ming is now the best player on the Rockets, not because of this latent ability that could come at any time, but because he consistently gets the job done.

Im not a *** or *** but Yao Ming will never be the best player on the Rockets if Mcgrady is here. He is too easily taken out of the game and seems like if I want anyone to take the last shot it would be TMAC. Yao seems to get stripped or get blocked by a player 4 inches shorter than him like in the Indiana game.

Let's go Tracy! We believe in you! Don't let anything stop you from getting to the top. We need you back in game shape. Yeah, you were an assist shy of a triple-double yesterday, but I believe that was less than third of what you're capable of doing. I know you can still dominate the game, but you just need to work back into becoming that super-athletic T-Mac that was unstoppable.

Keep working hard, and we support you, man.

The effort was there and T-Mac came out with a purpose attacking the basket with strong rebounding and setting his teammates up. His overall aggressiveness sealed the rockets victory from right out of the gate.

I've said countless times, when healthy Tracy is a perfect fit alongside Yao. This is what people need to take into account when they talk about trading him.

Are u bashing Yao here ? Tracy is the most talented player on Rockets roster. But he is not as tough as Ron and Yao. But we need all of them to perform well so we can go to the WCF.

yao was the clear star in that lone memphis game. he was terrible. yao is just not a franchise player. he has too many weaknesses in his game to be a franchise player, with or without tracy.

you bring in another other perimeter player, it will be the same case. it just doesn't apply to tracy.

If that's true, then the Rockets don't have a franchise player, because it certainly is not McGrady.

when he's healthy he is one. the way the team carries itself when tracy plays well is just undeniable.

if you take out yao and artest right now, this team will keep playing at a 60% rate. that's a franchise player.

with injuries and lack of good health, he can't do it consistently so yea, he's not a franchise player anymore on a consistent basis. but for a 20-30 game stretch he can be.

yao was never a franchise player. he's a very good offensive player that can really help us out. but you can't just say yao, go win us a game.
