So both of our stars dont like to dunk... Realx guys, dunk it or not, they will win a few championships for Houston.
T-mac usually yells HEY!!!! when he feels contact... he's not getting the calls and he expects them to come so i think its simply a matter of losing focus.
Fine, please state for me the games in which T-Mac has missed point-blank layups (not contested shots) and I will buy your argument. Let the tally begin...
I don't think he got any foul calls during the Celtics game on many of those drives. "Just dunk it". It's not as easy as many of you think. You've got to get right on the basket to dunk it, and how many times is TMAC simply allowed free lane to do that? Hardly ever. He's got to create, and that often dictates that he use either hand, depending on where the defenders come at him from. True, he missed a couple that were gimmee's, but that's no basis to say that he isn't good at finishing.
Let's just say that you are BSing! Not good at finishing? What the heck does that mean?! If T-Mac is not good at finishing, then no one is. Give me facts, not just false statements. Boy, it is amazing what one bad game for the team does to the BBS. nitpicking indeed...
Still waiting... I would like to know how many uncontested layups T-Mac has missed this season, since the way some of you are talking here makes it sound like the man can't make a layup to save his life. That is certainly the impression I am getting here. So I would like facts to back up these claims, and not just baseless assumptions.
Just to add, it's obvious that our perimeter shooters aren't that good at shooting, based on the multiply attempts missed during the Celtic game.
Yah, I mean Wesley has been shooting terrible over the past game or so. In fact, I am starting a thread right now, I will call it "David Wesley and 3-point shots", in which I will argue that Wesley's complete failure to make his shots in the Celtics game mean that he can't shoot. The facts speak for themselves
I haven't had a chance to watch too many Rox games this season so this is totally pure speculation. (Like that never happens here.) T-Mac is a natural when it comes to basketball and plays it very instinctively. Often people who have do something instinctively have better success at doing more difficult and creative things but struggle or blunder on simpler things. This why you have players who can shoot field goals well from outside but have trouble hitting free throws. I'm guessing that T-Mac plays on such an instinctive level that sometimes he loses focus on a simple layup.
