When your own team's announcers are starting to call you out...that's pretty telling.

Ya know, one positive about the mediocrity...McGrady is absolutely starting to get exposed for what he really is. The things he has been able to hide behind (faking injuries, winning) are wearing thin and he has nowhere to hide anymore.

Especially when they are homers. I think they are getting a bit fed up with TChuck.

I don't think he cares. It's amazing. You'd think that 11 years now and no playoff series wins would be enough to embarass the guy into playing hard. I simply cannot think of a bigger loser in the league right now, maybe ever. I guess Stephon Marbury is up there too.

He doesn't......dude straight up opened a can of quit last night.....since I was at home watching the game last night I kept track of McBrokebacks stats a little closer........he took it to the basket 5 times last night...and in those 5 times he got sent to the FT line, 2 assists, 1 FG, and 1 miss.....everything else was a jump shot...and for those he went 5/16....and 3 or 4 of them were bad shots.....he also slowed down the fastbreak at least a couple of times

Yeah, I was courtside at the game, and I saw the exact same thing. Even before his "injury" it is completely obvious that this was going to be one of those games he was going to mail it in. The knee just provided him with the "official" reason.

We all see the exact same thing. So when is somebody from the organization gonna call him out on this? He's been doing the same thing his whole time here...but now with the mediocrity, he's being exposed and the leash seems to be tightening up around here.

I like T-Mac alot, but he is not mentally tough what so ever. Yao looked pissed and frustrated at the end of the game. I agree with you about T-Mac mailing it in and don't think that the rest of his teammates can't see it. I'm tired of him bailing out the defense with all his low % jumpshots when the team is struggling on the offensive end.

i did the same thing last night. i saw what you saw on the court. the stats you listed only justify what we're all wanting to see out of him too.

but i also watched him on the bench too. i swear, it's like he's indifferent about EVERYTHING. he doesn't even look like he cares and it looks like he's not even watching the game. when the whole bench is up and cheering, he just sits there like rick adelman.

what makes this the worst thing possible is that we all know the rockets go as mcgrady goes.

we're literally at his mercy. if he's excited to play and wants to get his hands dirty just a little bit, we win. if he doesn't, we lose. it's about that simple. we can talk about how the role players need to step up, but there again...he's the one that makes everything go to make things easier for the role players.

you can throw out all kinds of stats if you want to, but that's pretty much what this team boils down to.

pretty much.....you are only as strong as your leader...that is why we're struggling right now......your best players set the tone for the rest of the team and right now Tmac is doing a piss poor job of it......and then to see him laughing after the game and then making comments in the locker room blaming everyone and saying that he wants to be "great"....ugghhh....I can't take anymore of this guy.........

Yep. There was one time in the second half where he definitely had numbers and had the ball at midcourt and just STOPPED. Rick was pissed.

the one that got me is when T-Mac snatched a rebound
at about the free throw line.
    and
    then posed
until everyone [like 6 of the 10 folx on the court] ran past him then walked it up the court

ok you snatched as rebound. . it looked good. . but d*mn

Let's be fair. I saw one of those times when TJS-Mac had an opportunity to push the ball for a break but declined. It was obvious that he was favoring his knee and didn't see the point of trying to outrun the defense on a bad wheel.

So I don't think he was posing, so much as being a drama queen trying to demonstrate to the whole world that he had a boo-boo on his knee.

when T-Mac drives to the goal, it's money in the bank. I hate it when the guy i is having a off night, and just keeps shooting brick after bricks. When this happens, he needs to be that 'facilitator' and aim for a triple double like he did in that one game.

Third scorer will be needed BIG TIME! I don't see any of our other players doing it, so morey, time to pull some stunts. we have a lot of talent/trade bait to give up. Make it happen! Preferably a player that can hit the long ball. Man oh man, how much I'd love to have Mike Miller on this squad!!!!

You fail to mention all the "talent" we have to trade isn't exactly playing great ball right now. If we are looking to unload them so quickly, why would someone want to pick them up?
