Don't pretend you know the big picture. You are just a hater. Everybody in here knows it.

Did you not see that thread on the wonderful TMAC piece written in SI?? The difference between TMAC and the Kobes, Lebrons, Wades, and Jordans is not in how many jump shots they TAKE..it's how many they MAKE. TMAC's lifetime FG% has been in the mid 30%..while the rest of his superstar peers have been shooting in the 40% zone. THAT is what sets them apart.

Wow....making up stats here I see.....because Mcgrady is actually 44% lifetime....so you were close :) Good job

But that doesn't mean I'm gonna kiss Tmac's ass.....because thats not how I roll.....I kiss no one person's ass, and no one should but whatever.....
I do want him to take more efficient shots and officially retire his heatchecking days.

Btw.....this thread is LONG overdue for a lock, just like the previous "trade Yao" thread.....I'm seriously getting tired of all these TOFs/YOFs

tracy is a streaky shooter. he'll miss jumpers if hes wide open. he shoots better when he has a hand in his face.

He took 4 shots the 4th quarter. So the MANY times you speak of in game 7 could not be more than 2. Otherwise the shot went in. Love the revisionist history going on about T-Mac's play-off performance vs the Jazz. He got the foul CALLED on maybe half of his drives where he got fouled during that game.(which was actually an increase for the series). So why would you try to put the onus on the refs to make the call for you? Refs are known to swallow the whistle down the stretch which is why you see so many game winning jumpshots by the likes of Jordan, Bird, Miller, etc. You have a very low chance of making a tough lay-up/floater when you DO get fouled (regardless of whether its called or not). T-Mac is so skilled and talented that he gets a good look at the basket on almost every attempt.

Hmm, remember Lebron James attacking the basket in game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals last year??? The call was NOT made, the Cavs lost, even though James got fouled TWICE on the drive. And thats King James!!

yeah that's it..........I just "hate" the guy for no apparent reason...nothing I say about him has any validity.......why???....cause I'm a hater

the number FT attempts a player has doesn't neccessarily mean that he got all of them from "taking it to the basket".....he could be getting fouled on jumpshots, his team could be in the penalty, etc.........anyone who watches the game of basketball will tell you that Tracy doesn't penetrate enough..........

taking it to the basket doesn't only benefit you by getting to the foul line, it also gets you closer to the basket to have a better chance of making the shot...that is why people who stay close to the basket to score usually finish with the best FG%........and Jordan, Bird, and Miller were all much more clutch and better shooters than tmac.....and in Jordans case he took it to the rack a lot down the stretch....."the shot" is what always gets the hype, because it's at the last second and it looks pretty, but there were many games where MJ won a game down the stretch by "attacking".....I even remember MJ saying in an interview that he never practiced 3 pointers that much, because he never wanted to become a great 3 point shooter...why???...because he would then abandon driving to the basket.........tmac just doesn't like attacking the basket and he shys away from contact down low.......

and do you remember Bron attacking in game 5...dunking...and hitting the game winning LAYUP..........and do you remember LBJ hitting 2 game winning layups againts Washington a couple of years back????....funny how you forget those moments.

a lot of those game winning jumpers by Jordan, Kobe, etc. are all set up because the defense doesn't know if they're going to "attack" or "shoot"....in tracy's case the defense plays him for the jump shot, and most of the time he does shoot a jumper at the end of games and quarters.........there's no element of surprise, because the defense knows it coming.....anyway I'll stop talking, because I'm sure that I'm making too much sense for some of you who probably started watching basketball yesterday.

When TMac IS NOT HOT, and he keeps chunking, he shoots the team out of the game. Not the best strategy.

DisGracy McLady. That fall he took was very fortunate for him - gave him a built-in excuse to suck the rest of the game. But of course he was really "hurt", right? Yeah, he had a fever, and the only prescription is more Rafer.

He should not have been out there on it. This is not the playoffs. He is not Willis Reed. Props for the heart, but he risked really ****ing it up by playing through it tonight.
