Actually, Skip not playing definitely hurts our defense. Mike James is the worst thing I've seen defensively from a Rockets point guard in a long time - even John Lucas III wasn't this bad. And he hustles all the time, even when his shot isn't going in. He'll get the ball, run down to the other end of the court for a fast break and then look around disappointed because none of his teammates ran with him. He hustles on help defense. With Chuck Hayes getting less minutes these days, the result is that Yao is being left out to dry on defense as opposing PGs get into the paint at will.

looked to me tmac pussed out last night after sucking...i bet he's causing the team chemistry problem calling out steve franchise by saying alston is the floor general and blaming the toronto loss on not having him.

Screw that man hope this team picks up their game and win some games without tmac in there so he can get his ego in check.

yeah this team looks so friggin' awesome that they're barely near .500 and a very average team, at best... offense, schmoffense.

I have never thought that McGrady had the greatest individual character as a teammate... He's always just gotten by on ridiculous amounts of natural talent.

I still like him and love having him on the team, but he's always going to piss me off sometimes.

Truth of the matter is, Weisbrod lied, but that doesn't change the fact that right now Tmac has no guts on THIS team.

I love his talent but he seriously needs to man up.

I like T-mac, the guy can play some ball. However, as soon as Bill Worrel said, "Tracy just went to locker room with his twisted ankle". I yelled at the TV "trade his little whining, butt".

After the game Coach mentioned how you can't quit on the team and how players cant just give up. If he wasnt talking about McGrady then I am not typing on a keyboard.......pathetic!

    He's a ****ing ****y.

So does anybody know how much he got paid last night to quit on his team? What's $20,000,000 / 82 games?

Pulling up my Windows calculator, that comes out to $243,902.44 for him to do what he did last night. I'm not even going to elaborate on that anymore because it speaks for itself.

here is the Coach's quote, "I think you find out about your team and you find out about individuals," Rockets coach Rick Adelman said. "When it gets tough as a team, there is no way around it but to play together and stay together on both ends of the court. You can't do it on your own."

Hmmm, I wonder what we had last year that managed to somewhat mitigate our need for said "agressive PG" and motivated our soft pansy-ass players to 52 wins...

A coach makes the best of the personnell he's given DD. I'm starting to realize that JVG did that, and Rick does not. In all of your ranting against our players, it hasn't occurred to you to wonder how JVG got the amount of success and effort out of them that he did? You do remember that he had the same soft-ass players you despise, and even less overall talent than we do now, right?

    i.e.

Rick when asked why certain of his Sacramento teams (pre-Artest) weren't good defensively:

"We didn’t have defensive players, it’s as simple as that. We haven’t had defensive players the last two or three years. If you want a defensive team, then go trade for defensive players."

JVG, after suffering a loss in 05-06 with both Yao and T-Mac out and basically fielding a squad of scrubs:

"We have the talent to win."

    ------

That's the difference in a nutshell. We have enough players that lack heart and make excuses. The last thing we needed was to pair them with a coach that does too.

As long as T-Mac isn't held accountable, he gonna do what he does...

Tmac... has more talent then the whole team combined...

I knew there was somthing seriously wrong with Tmac's mentality when he sat down in game 7 of the Dallas playoff series...

time to trade him was right then and there....

LOL you guys are funny. Obviously I see tim duncan/quit on many regular season games. Last year during Nov, Dec they lost to some horribly bad teams, and they just laugh about it. What is the big deal. Guy rolled his ankle and want to take the night off, so be it. It's against sixers, no need to give it all out, what does it prove anyway. duh..

Seriously, what coach is going to go in there and try to mess with TMac? Van Gundy did not do it. He held everyone accountable except TMac. Now Adelman is holding no one accountable.

What is it with Tracy that coaches are scared of him. I want someone everytime TMac jacks up some bs fadeaway with 20 seconds left on the shot clock to pull him out of the game and sit his ass for 5 minutes.

They won't do that though. TMac would cry and "protest" a la Kidd. He doesn't want to be controlled but it would be good for him.

I honestly wonder what he could be if he cared.

That is wrong in so many ways. The difference between Duncan and T-mac is that one is a proven winner and the other isn't. Also the team depends a lot more on T-mac's contribution than Duncan's on the Spurs. I am sure you witnessed how the spurs were able to beat both the mavs and the Jazz without him.

Well than doesn't that tell you that our other players should be getting equal blame here. I mean we have another friggin superstar that just SUCKS unless tmac is in. We have some pretty decent role players who don't step it up. I mean the whole team relies on tmac and that is just friggin pathetic...they are suppose to be professional players who give it their all, instead they just seem like a bunch of lil kids who want to sit and around and watch their "mommy" do everything for them. This team is going no where unless they grow up...yes tmac has shown at times he has no heart and that he does make lame excuses but for once try to put yourself in his position...the pressure of having a bunch of lil kids that rely on u for every lil thing (including your other superstar) is going to get to u eventually. (From time to time even your own mother has a bad mood day and just wants to be left alone b/c she gets tired of doing everything for you all the time)

coldbluemoon is right on the money. A bunch of "fans," quit on this team way before any Rocket did. Pathetic.
