It starts with your stars, when they don't run the system the rest of the team follows their lead.

You know why they can double team Tmac? Because he is not running off of screens receiving the ball in a position to shoot, because if he was running without the ball and the other team assisgned 2 guys to chase him, someone would be getting a wide open shot, right?

    Ugh, why do I bother?

I don't think we are talking about his talent, which is subjective. The facts, his record speaks for itself. To lead rockets to 21-10 without Yao in a tough conference without good supporting cast is phenomenol.

There are many excuses for TMac not making past the first round, but I won't go there. Here is food for thought, Kevin Garnett who is considered one of the best NBA player in the league, the most unselfish, etc etc. only has one playoff series win (?). I don't see him getting half as much flak as TMac.

Uh, didn't they lose in the Western conference finals with Cassell and Sprewell?

How did they get there with 1 playoff series win?

Maybe in one of the rounds the other team forfeited

He is running off screens! You don't need two guys to chase you around for double team, its one guy running and the second double team comes from the guy nearest to them.

Anyways, Hayes gets wide open shots everytime he is on the floor. But let him first learn to put the basket in from 2 feet and then we can talk about making wide open jump shots.

He never got what TMac gets, not even close... TMac is soft, selfish, lazy etc. etc. KG always got the benefit of the doubt more often than not.

It's two playoff series win, big WHOOPTIE DOO. You didn't see (?). All in one year. Every other year he was at Minnesota, he never won a playoff series.

lol you can hate all you want, if MJ got hated on despite everything he achieved, who is TMac? There will always be haters, but the fact is we are 13-40 without the lazy dude, who doesn't come to play every night.. RIGHT. Whatever you want to swim err spin it, his record speaks for itself.

OK you are now going from being just ignorant to stupid.

You are comparing Tmac to MJ....I mean REALLY comparing the two?

One who had the heart of a lion the "do anything to win" mentality, to our own Captain Creampuff.

    TinMacMan McGrady the gutless.

    WTF ever.

haha yea I literally said if MJ can get criticized by people like you, who is TMac (compared to MJ), and I get HOW DARE YOU compare MJ from you. OOOOKKKK.
I call this - if you can't argue with facts, find something you know you can win on, thats why I added "who is TMac" lol oh well.

No, you said that MJ got hated on.....you made the inference that somehow the Tmac criticism and MJ's were the same.

    Not I.....You.

Look it is clear that Tmac is your boy, let's hope that in his 11th year in the league that he finally learns how to lead...

T-Mac definitely deserves some of the flak for not buying into the system but then so would Yao because he hasn't bought into it either. In fact he's been most vocal about it. I think both of these guys are really confused right now and that dwindles down to the 12th man. It is on both of these guys, NOT just T-mac to be the main to cogs of the offense and actually run it. This reminds me of JVG's 2nd year (T-Mac's first). It took about half of the season to get adjusted (with some trades here and there). I think the adjustment is going to be painfully longer than that though because JVG's style is a total opposite of Adleman's. I haven't given up on T-Mac and Yao yet and I don't understand why everyone wants to trade everyone already. Tracy and Yao are really bright players, they will figure it out. It is their atitudes towards the game plan the needs to adjust.

I agree 100%, but the reason that Tmac is getting the focus is because the thread is about him quitting, which he did.

Yao also deserves blame for whining and b****ing and not committing to the system, but that is another thread all together.

To me, the ultimate definition of a franchise player is a guy who can bring it every night. You can't say that about Tracy, and that's the problem. We never know which T-Mac is going to show up.

The only thing keeping me from wanting the Rockets to tear it down immediately is the fact that it would make the Rudy Gay trade look even worse than it is.

I just don't think T-Mac has the mental/emotional toughness to lead a team to a championship.

Can someone photo shop Iverson in a Rocket's uniform :D

The difference is "Big Yao" said, "the whole team is soft".

The whole team includes big yao, he didnt exclude himself. Tracy did.

You also don't hear anyone questioning Kevin Garnett's effort.
