My comments were not meant to attack other posters. As I said, anything I say here I'd say to them if I met them too. I believe it all started when I was just commenting on how comments such as the nicknames are typically made with comments that really have no value (no supporting ideas and such).

Heck, I have coworkers that say some of the same stuff, and I'll say something like "Come on dude...if you don't like him tell me why, don't just call him a name and expect me to say, 'Yeah, you're right.'"
They were usually just a spastic response to something. My comment of being able to say something to a person that you'd type here, I just said it was something like the behind a keyboard/monitor type deal.

Dude, I don't know why you apparently have it out for me to help me "grow up." I'm not a young man, neither am I an old fart. I apologized for my unintentional remark that could easily be seen as racist. I have no beef with anyone in particular, and was just stating that the general quality of the poster on here has gone a little downhill.

I don't attack the posters back man, I say what I have to say and usually that's about it. Every now and again, I will get a little frustrated and make a general statement of how the board just isn't what it used to be. I never attack a particular poster.

I may not be getting my thoughts out here effectively, but what I can say effectively is that I don't appreciate you belittling me by telling me to grow up. If you find holes in my arguments or disagree with me, do so, and provide your points as you already do. I think it's the pot calling the kettle black to say I attack posters yet in your posts you tell me to grow up.

feign wasn't quick to announce yao's injury last year either bro. he kept saying after the game where yao struggled mightily and up to the morning that yao is fine, just needs some rest...

then bam... news conference -> yao's out for the year.

i think right now the rockets are just evaluating ways to go about this. tracy's a big part of this team and i'm sure they're struggling with this news. the organization pins a lot of hopes on tracy coming back healthy this year and it doesn't seem to be the case.

Yall seen the rockets play witout T-NAG.... we have a squad. ol boi WAfer steps it up wen he gets a chance. Dont worry. By the looks of it.. we are better witout him. I just hope we can pull a trade off for him, not like anybody wants him to play for them, they just want his contract!

we are better off without an INJURED mcgrady. there's no way we're better off if he was relatively healthy b/c no one on this team brings what he can bring: elite playmaking.

but if tracy is injured and playing like he has, obviously he's not going to help the team.

i wonder what all the apologists will say if it turns out that he's not done for the season, and hasn't been playing on the most incredibly deteriorated knee in history.

that should be a fun day.

in the interest of winning basketball games, yes.

plus, i think it's his fault anyway. maybe now he'll learn to take care of his body.

For me, I'd go back to what I was saying before the recent news. If he's hurt, sit. If he's injured, then play and if he can't score like he can, then do everything else to help the team win. If he's not willing to do that, then change his game by shooting a better percentage from the perimeter.

I guess basically, do something. Because what is transpiring right now, is not.

I think there's more to it than that. Doctors telling him he's fine, his body telling him otherwise. Him feeling the pressure to go out and play injured/hurt. BUT...at the end of the day, as you said...it's his body and he has to take care of it. If he was hurt, and even though the docs said he's not, he should have shut it down like he originally said. Take the heat, b/c apparently, he would have taken heat anyway.

You gotta do what's best for yourself at the end of the day.

Dude, why even make some stupid argument that the people here criticizing McGrady wouldn't say it to his face? That's completely irrelevant. Why even make some stupid comment about how all the McGrady "haters" must be Chinese/Yao fans? That's completely irrelevant. What matters is whether or not McGrady's mentally fragile, whether or not he's a drama queen, whether or not he's got it in him to win. Those are the issues, not whether the guys criticizing him are man enough to say it to him if they meet him at K-Mart or whatever nonsense. Believe it or not a lot of the people criticizing him are actually doing so because they believe he's behaved in a fashion deserving of criticism, not because they just don't like the guy or have some hidden agenda.

Again, are you T-Mac? If the answer is no then why do you care if people here call him "McLady" or "McLazy" or whatever? And I don't care how old you are--engaging in ad hominem attacks instead of simply delivering your counter-argument is juvenile and immature. That's why I'm telling you to grow up.

Fans who thought he was selfish or lazy have nothing to apologize for. We can only form our opinions based on the available information. His teammates have been openly frustrated with him. The team has maintained that its just a matter of him strengthening his knee. All the doctors have apparently concluded that there's no serious structural damage.

I do think it was presumptuous for people to say it was all mental, or to assume that he's faking the pain.
