That's because Tracy didn't want to get an MRI. I mean come on don't act the martyr if you don't want to cooperate. It makes more sense that this is something that has developed and not something that was missed. Remember Tracy went to an outside doctor of his own choosing that agreed with the Rockets medical team.
Wait what? Whoooa, definitely not what I was implying. I happen to be of Asian decent, and like to take a lighter approach to things. Me singing that song that way is something I do a lot in real life, and in hind-sight, I can see it might not be a good idea to type that, ESPECIALLY in this forum. Also in my defense of McGrady I VERY often preface my words by saying that I have my gripes as well, and that criticism is expected. Any criticisms I have I would have ZERO issues telling McGrady to his face. I wonder if other posters could say that. Still no excuse for the way he gave up in the Toronto game. That Jamario Moon dunk is the stink that won't was away. If he is truly done for the season I feel bad for the guy, but he did himself no favor proclaimg we'd see vintage T-Mac and he'd have the last laugh. I sure hope this isn't what he had in mind.
b/c the team and doctors made it seem like there was no injury and in tracy's mind, he thinks he does have one b/c he must be shocked to be sucking this bad if his knee is not a problem. what do you want him to do when everyone around you says your knee is fine, it will be fine. and after months and months of playing and it's not fine. sure he could handle it a better way, but he isn't a perfect human being. kobe blasts his teammates publicly too you know. nobody is perfect. i mean if they kept saying yao should play on his stress fractured foot and yao keeps saying i'm struggling to play, how do you think he'll eventually react?
but the point is those doctors said tracy's knee is NOT and NEVER injured. it just needed "strengthening" and it wouldn't get worse by playing on it. that's the point that you need to get.
if i remember correctly, tracy suggested the MRI. but the doctors told him it wasn't necessary b/c all he needed was to strengthen up the knee so he shelved that idea.
apparently they didn't. i'm still not giving up on this season. sans tracy, we still have a ton of talent. ron should have a bigger role now. unlike last yr, deke was our back up for yao and we still did great. nwo we have a legit all-star to take over for tracy so no excuse for us not to do well.
They will never own up thats why they are call haters. This is really sad new about Tracy and if this is 100% true you have to give the man a lot of credit for going out there and trying to play even though he couldn't play at a high level. I can understand that people still have faith in this team, but I think its going to be very hard to get out of the first round if Tracy is done for the year just like last year when Yao went down. I know we have Ron now but in a 7 game series when teams front Yao or double him where will the points come from. Tracy was the best at getting Yao the ball and without him its not going to be easy.
this team is capable of beating any team in the west but LA though san antonio would be tough. Ideally i'd like to draw denver or portland in round 1(provided they can make it in) and go from there.
how can you call him mclazy if there were three doctors that got it wrong. he tried to get better, but if you have missing cartilage you can't really get better without surgery
Dude, are you Tracy McGrady? If the answer to that question is no then why do you care what amusing nicknames people here come up with for him? Do you see the difference between what guys here are doing when they criticize McGrady and what guys like you are doing when you criticize individual posters? "Ad hominem" attack mean anything to you? That means that you cannot dispute the argument so your last recourse is to attack the person delivering the argument. Let me tell you why you need to grow up. I'm a huge Adelman fan. But when somebody criticizes him I don't interpret that as an attack upon me, individually. The problem with fanbois is that they take all criticism personally. Laugh about the PS3's low sales numbers? The Sony fanbois will take that as an attack on them personally. And guess what, since you insulted them they feel free to insult you right back. It makes sense, doesn't it? Except that for normal people it doesn't. Normal people don't identify so strongly with a game console, or an NBA player, that any criticism directed at that player is perceived as a personal attack at them themselves. Your assertion that posters here wouldn't call McGrady "McLady" to his face is ridiculous. What does that have to do with his lack of heart and will? My response is that I wouldn't do that, but not because I'm afraid of the guy. I wouldn't do that because I'm not all that into insulting perfect strangers.
So the other two doctors magically didnt see this possible injury, yea highly unlikely, if it turns out the doctor does say he is injured he must of paid that doctor a nice fat stack of bills, oh and this convenient that he brings this up right before the trade deadline, that guy is just trying to take a break the rest of his contract so that way he has it nice and easy with a push over for a coach in RA
i hope we do. it's still all about the rockets. tracy's a big part, but without him, we have to move on.
edit the title to Mcgrady lovers post here because all you want is people to kiss your a$$ he still sucks should of sat out 3weeks ago, he was told to play but didn't ask to take a mri then
we have artest to fill in for tracy and he can play big minutes at a high level (unlike deke last yr who can play only 15-20 minutes a game and did an admirable job and we still did great without yao). there's no excuse for this team not to get out of the first round without tracy with this kind of talent. if we had artest last yr, i would have said the same thing regardless if yao was playing or not. we have the talent. now we need to do it. tracy just needs to sit out if he indeed is injured.
Except this is all premature. Feigen's reporting that T-Mac is not out for the season. Unfortunately.
