I'm not happy, I'm not surprised.

I still have faith in the Rockets though. Don't think I'm going to stop the Rockets cause Tmac is hurt for the whole season.

And yes I still believe we can make it past the first round.

I don't consider myself a TMac hater and agree that with a healthy and a moitivated TMac we are better off but I don't think the sky is falling without him. Lets face it TMac was a shell of his old self this season and with a team relying on movement on both offense and defense that shell wasn't adding much too it. With TMac gone we no longer have a signifigant distraction in the locker room and now players that have been learning and adapting Adelman's system can step up and also have clearer roles on this team.

Lets not forget that Adelman has taken teams with arguably less talent than ours without Tmac deep in the playoffs.

Don't give up on the Rockets yet!

He's still heartless, weak, or whatever else it may be, as evidenced by his previous seven playoff tries. Don't bother to quote me his playoff stats. I actually watched the games where he faded down the stretch when his team desparately needed him the most. I have heard him say he got "tired" down the stretch of a game seven when the Rockets got beat on their home court. I didn't need this season to prove to me what I have always suspected of McGrady--he is simply not a winner.

I am afraid I was spoiled in the 90's when the Rockets had true heart. Nearly five years into the McGrady experiment, the Rockets as a whole have become the most uninspiring team in the NBA (one amazing 22 game win streak notwithstanding). That McGrady has another major injury does not turn him into a warrior. It just further validates his fragility and a Rocket's experiment that was doommed to fail from the beginning. It is time to move on.

    ok :)

every doctor was wrong. tracy was wrong. everyone was wrong. the MRIs that he gets routinely to prevent exactly this sort of thing from happening were wrong. you know what, let's just go ahead and say everything that was ever said, written, thought, or even understood about tracy's knee was wrong.

you, on the other hand, are clearly right.

It's too raaate to aporogiiiiiize, tooo raaaate.

I won't even speak to the "haters," but I will say that McGrady still has the support of some people.

I am pretty amazed at the fact that this is how it might go down considering all the attention that has been given to his knee.

uh...having that type of injury does that to you.

and all his antics came from his inconsistency and bad play due to HIS INJURY.

Here, here! Couldn't agree more. He's been here long enough to know the guy is "Not" a winner. He doesn't work hard enough or have the right attitude to be a winner. This team will not start to heal until Tracy is gone.

I've been a Rockets fan for working on two decades now and I've never been more disappointed and uninspired by a player. It's to the point I don't even get excited about the games anymore.

So, Tracy haters owning up? Yes, but it's not a apology. It's more like the team and fans will not heal until this guy is gone.

well the doctors keep telling him it will come back to 100% and he won't hurt it by playing. so he thought with more rest and playing on it, he would do that.

apparently, he tried that many times and it's not working. now we know why.

if the doctors found this out earlier when he got a 2nd opinion WAY BACK a few months ago, he probably would have shut it down.

with this injury, tracy's not gonna help the team. he should just sit out, get the surgery.

we need to move on without him this year and move forward. it's time for yao, artest... and all those guys to step up.

Whatever dude. You claim that the T-Mac haters are immature but you're the one who resorts to racist nonsense to imply that anybody who criticizes T-Mac is Chinese and a Yao only fan. The word "hypocrisy" springs to mind.

One more thing: it's interesting that the guys who criticize T-Mac do just that and only that, they criticize T-Mac. His fan club on the other hand doesn't defend T-Mac, they attack the messengers and fling out insults directed at other posters. For instance, what's with all this "You wouldn't say it to his face" garbage? You seriously need to grow up.

Not to mention, it's not outside the realm of possibility that a person thinks one way and then thinks another. I mean how many times does a person think they are in love, then fall out of it, just to get back with that person, back and forth.

They said from the beginning his knee would have good days and bad days. He would FEEL like he was back on a good night. Then on a bad night realize it's still not there (strength).

I can't believe him being honest about how his knee feels is considered an antic now.

um.. they didn't know tracy had a bone bruise until a month or two into it last yr.

they didn't know yao had a stress fracture until a month or two into it.

so i won't be surprised if they missed something here either.

    hopefully i'm wrong.

The point is that regardless of the extent of his injury he dealt with it unprofessionally. His conduct was and is inexcusable and, worst of all, it damaged the team.

With him, this whole year is under suspicion...and I value my opinion when suspicious.

And now, there's not enough facts to offer any apology.

FWIW, after watching us play without Tracy this year I'm confident we'll get out of the first round. There is still something special about this team.

(ah hell, I'm just being a homer) :D

But, if Wafer EVER dreamed of an opportunity to shine, this is his golden moment. And if he can spark, AMEN!

the season is not over. we have a lot of resiliency on this team. we did great without yao last yr. we'll do fine without tracy this year.

we have much more talent this year than last so we still may be able to accomplish something.

remember, we have multiple injuries to our starters last yr and still competed hard in the playoffs.

if tracy sits out, nobody else hopefully won't be injured and we'll be fine.

How bad is it now? The latest reports coming from Feigen at the Chronicle are that T-Mac is not done for the season. There's every possibility that this is just a minor injury.

Or the Rockets are benching T-Mac and need an excuse/justification.
