who cares youll see were gonna do just fine in the playoffs with a shooting guard like wafer actually shooting and hitting. We did just fine without mcgrady earlier this year and we'll be fine in the playoffs

This team is built for the playoffs. A grind it out 7-game series where all offense screeches to a halt and we're forced to create points in the half court. Ron Artest, McGrady and Yao Ming are perfect for this type of basketball.

But now, you can kiss the opportunity to compete for a championship goodbye. Even with a McGrady at 50%, we'd still be better suited for the playoffs that with Von Wafer filling the void. Maybe our offense will score more points and win some games during the regular season without TMac, but we're going nowhere in the playoffs without him.

I think most people here understand that we’ve got NOWHERE else to go with McGrady in the playoffs :(

Tracy "hater" checking in. Nobody owes this guy an apology. His mental issues and habit of coming to camp fat are separate issues from his new knee diagnosis.

I swear we have some of biggest babies on this forum.

    "waaaaah, tell Tracy your sorry!"

Grow some testicles or come out of the closet.

    lol..

and I'm surprised at the prevailing belief from the group.. that "the season is over"..

have they already forgotten that this season.. the lineup that has proven most successful this season.. as far team consistency goes.. did not infact include Tracy..?

sure.. there's reason to think going beyond the first round this year might not be all that likely.. but to make a greater chance at victory a forgone conclusion with Tracy.. the way he has been playing this season.. is simply blindly assuming with no tangible reason.. going by past reputation instead of the present evident truth..

people would continuously point to his "progress".. to justify their delusion that " once the playoffs roll around".. miraculously.. all that ails him would vanish into thin air.. and his all his old physical prowess would resurface as if by magic.. overlooking the obvious.. one, he was moving better.. but his explosiveness had shown zero change for the better.. those dunks hadn't impressed me one bit.. the one over Tyrus was an example of external conditions coming together to make any sloppy dunk attempt result as a 'ok' facial.. Tracy's ability didn't make that happen.. and his first one back.. was the most modest left handedTracy McGrady dunk I had ever witnessed.. that made most people were eager to proclaim, "he's back!"

yes.. he was getting in some good solid games lately.. that cannot be denied.. but what can.. is how he no longer seemed able to leave his indellible mark in games like he once did.. routinely..
the times he did resulted negatively .. when he attempted to.. but simply couldn't..

i think this team.. knowing Tracy won't be coming back again this season.. will surprise us..

You don't know the facts either. To sit there and say mcgrady is at fault for an injury is just ignorant and the only reason behind you doing so is your own personal hatred of the guy which is founded upon nothing logical.

Mcgrady is a basketball player. He is not a doctor. The doctors are the ones who are supposed to ensure that mcgrady's knee is healthy enough to play on. He did rehab in the offseason and the doctors evaluated his knee and told him that the pain he felt was normal and that the only way to make it better was by playing on it. That was the consistant advice of the team doctors. Mcgrady told them about the pain, they looked at the knee and said to just play through it. Its that simple. The doctors were wrong. Theres no doubt that he got injured on the court. Playing on it made it worse. Again simple logic. The doctors were wrong.

If he was so hurt all this time, why was he playing so many minutes? why did he come back? I will reserve judgment until I see it reported on ESPN

A 50% McGrady? With a 50% McGrady we been gettin spanked by the dregs of the league!

How in the %*#$ do you think were going to beat the best teams in the NBA in the playoffs??

C'mon. Tmac quit on this season on media day when he was whining like a damn geezer.

This whole knee thing is highly suspicious seeing he has been checked by the best specialist in the business.

Assuming he's spent countless hours rehabilitating it, I would say he's built up enough muscle in it to get by on it temporarily. For the average person, this could mean an occasional light workout. But going on it night after night means his knee has probably become dependent on that extra muscle and will eventually start swelling on a reguler basis before it just gives out on him.

Translation: "You must be nuts if you actually expect me to admit that my opinion was wrong."

What more would one expect from the OldWivesSewingCircle.NET BBS?

Most people realize that McGrady's handling of his injury situation and the season was fraught with poor judgment, especially with the in-and-out-of-the-lineup episodes. But everybody who insulted him by comparing him to female body parts and using other such misogynistic language, accused him of not caring, quitting or just being too lazy to play ought to either own up right now or forever lose credibility in the eyes of this fan.

It was clear from the beginning that things just didn't add up. It did not make sense. The accusations did not make sense, what we saw did not make sense. The only thing that ever made sense was statements by certain media writers that the only person who truly knew how much pain he was in was McGrady himself. Everyone else was just jumping to conclusions and busy constructing their own story lines. People were even spreading rumors of infidelity. And unfortunately, this BBS never learns from its mistakes. Ever.
