I don't see what the problem is either. He did exactly what he said. It was after a timeout -- I remember saying it in the game thread -- he just completely changed his body language. He had this killer look on his face and started grabbing every rebound, hitting every shot, forcing turnovers. He made Corey Brewer look like he didn't belong in the NBA. One would think people would know T-Mac by now. He is less reserved with his words than the typical NBA player. I personally don't know why he should be berated for that. Especially in a case like this where he pretty much did exactly what he said he did.
damned if you do, damned if you don't... i'm just glad he DID impose his will on the game, it was a game they couldn't afford to lose. that's what he did, that's what he said. why get upset?
Jesus, this board hates on Luther so much, I just don't understand it. He had 7 pts, 3 rebs, 2 asts in 14 minutes on efficient shooting (both from the field and the 3-pt line). He looked pretty good out there to me, and he did the last game, too. I know he's struggled from behind the arch for a few games before that, but everyone goes through stretches like that. He's fine.
Nobody brings it all four quarters of every regular season game... especially playing on an injury, at home, against one of the worst teams in the NBA. If he wanted to take 36 minutes off, he picked a great night to do it.
I agree that it is a low percentage shot, but when he's taking those, it's usually a good sign. He only takes those when his confidence is through the roof and he is really feeling it. It's a heat check type shot. Usually when he takes those he is being very aggressive and has that look on his face that says, "Nobody is going to stop me."
great post. at least when he struggles, he admits it. tell me another guy who says he shouldn't be in the all-star game and multiple guys deserve it over him even when he's one of the leading vote-getters?
look at it this way guys.........its whats called a trap game and alot of teams lose them against the bottom feeders of the league at the end of the year becuz the bottom feeders have nuthin to play for but to be spoiler.......... we took care of business last night whereas tha Fakers didnt and we gained ground in the process....
How does that classify as hating? He just said he was struggling with his shot, and if you look closely at game footage, he. He's missing shots he usually makes, but then again, he's always been a streaky shooter. More Novak, please.
AI, Nash, Wade... and you don't hear them saying they're the bset player in their respective teams. they let their game do the talking...
He had the same statline in game 7 with Utah and we lost, but im sure you'll just blame all of Houston's woes on Tmac no matter what he does. Some of you on this board complain like sissys, women, and little boys with femine tendencies.
Heh, I notice that the past couple games, McGrady has looked genuinely pissed off, whether we're winning or losing, whether he's shooting poorly or shooting well. He was all smiles during the streak (who wouldn't be), and even during most other times of his career, he's all smiling and joking and giving those little "shrugs" to the bench after he hits a crazy shot, but not right now. It could all be in my head, but I don't think I have ever seen him this poised and serious-looking for such a long stretch before. Hopefully this bodes well for Sunday... and more importantly, for this May.
Perhaps Kobe brought too much which got him ejected last night against the Bobcats. BTW, do you remember how we swept the Bobcats this season?
One of my favorites is when he says-when I'm in a zone like that the defender is in the hands of my mercy. (something like that)
You obviously didn't get what he meant by that..... Corey Brewer was considered the top defensive player in college and has been a pretty good defender for the Timberwolves. But its a different story on the defensive end though....
QFT The Will Was Imposed, as in, Tmac imposed his Will on the game, and therefor the Rockets won. I'm sure his teammates would agree... And I'm sure Minnesota would agree. Is it right that Tmac isn't humble enough to simply say "Well you gotta give 110% and I think we played pretty well tonight. You just got to play your best, and I think we played pretty good. You work hard, you try hard, and I think we tried pretty hard. You know? You gotta give 100% and I think we played pretty well tonight. You try your best, and play your best, and I think we worked pretty hard tonight..."?? So in other words... the flames should be doused because Tmac is a baller and you all know it, where is it against the rules to talk a little smack about being a gamer? get over it....
No where does it say I hate Luther. I just think he looks a little stiff (no pun intended) the boy needs to relax a little.
