The rockets this year is a young team, and being young, the real interest for us is to watch them grow (and improve). Here's a PER comparison between last season and current PER score for our starters. Please bear in mind the score will change as the players play more and yes it goes up and down. But for the moment, this tracking will at least allow us some semblance of gauging if our favorite players have improved (or regressed somewhat)...

    For what it's worth.....

JLin PER for 2011/2012 19.97 - current PER 17.51 - so we may say that JLin is roughly 87.7% of JLin version 2011/12

JHarden PER for 2011/12 21.13 - current PER 33.31 - which is great!

OAsik PER for 2011/12 13.44 - current PER 3.83 - am most concerned about Asik, we really need him to start scoring some....

CParsons PER for 2011/12 13.33 - current PER 9.87 - he's only 74% of his older self - so some concern here as well.

PPat PER for 2011/12 11.58 - current PER 11.93 - an improvement, hope he keeps improving!

Will keep watch - I know some of you may say but it may not tally well with actual player performance (since PER does not track other stuff that a player does) - please note I am not using this to argue how good/bad our players are - but more as a means to track if they have had improved themselves compared to last season.... comments are welcomed...
