Wow, 29 games in a row.

Durant has averaged 32.3 ppg, 7.9 rpg, and 2.8 apg in 40.4 mpg in that span.

In LeBron's last 29 games, he has averaged 31.4 ppg, 7.5 rpg, and 9.1 apg in 39.8 mpg.

Kevin Durant has turned into one of my favorite players outside of the Rockets.

It might be hard to develop the type of passing abilities that Lebron has, but he still could do it.

If he can develop a semblance of a passing game, he would be mentioned in the same breath as the Holy Trinity of Lebron, Kobe and Wade.

Right now I put him in the same league as Melo.

I doubt KD ever becomes as good a passer as LeBron. LeBron came into the league a good passer. KD is still learning. Plus, playing next to Westbrook will keep KD's assist numbers down in the years to come because he will never handle the ball nearly as much as LeBron does. LeBron handles the ball more than MJ did.

dude is ridiculous. he's what you call a scoring machine, and a highly efficient one at that. if he can somehow get some playmaking in his game, he'll elevate himself near lebron's status.

This Thunder's team has really talented young core. We always talked about how the Blazers are going to be good in the next 5 years with theirs, but the Thunders might turn out to be better with Durant, Westbrook, Green, Harden and Sefolosha.

I started reading your post expecting to come away even more impressed by Durant, but in the end he was upstaged by 'Bron's 9.1 apg. That is an insane stat line.

if lebron was on a team with westbrook, he will still handle the ball a ton and average 7 dimes. he's a better playmaker than most PGs.

LOL. Way to put things in perspective. We've gotten so bored with Lebron's performances, we're ignoring him in favor of Durant's "less-stellar" performance. Seriously, that stat line by Lebron is insane.

No doubt. He is LeBron after all (and I mean that respectfully).

why just the last 29 games?

this season, lebron is averaging 29.8 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 8.5 apg.

if anyone still denies that lebron is the best player in the game BY FAR, they're just in denial.

but let's keep this a durant thread. 29 games of 25+ pts is VERY impressive. even i didn't know he would be this good, this fast.

Love that the NBA's top scorers are starting to remember that efficiency counts. League went through some horrible years with the Stackhouse's and Iverson's...hell, even Kobe's and T-Mac's chucking up 39-43%.

Durant is just such an effortless scorer. With his length and touch, he's pretty much unstoppable. He's a true franchise player.

Durant is freaking awesome. I bet the city of Seattle cries everytime he takes the court.

LOL - you have to wonder what Portland is thinking, first Sam Bowie, now Greg Oden.

    Oh man.

Something that is funny (I like and follow both the Blazers and Thunder) is Portland's home crowd HATES Durant. It makes me laugh when KD plays up there. The jealousy is sooooo obvious.

Once search is re-enabled it might be fun to dredge up that Oden vs Durant post pre draft.

    :)
