From looking at YTD sales, the Toyota Camry has outsold every other car (non-pickup) in the US so far this year. American consumers are idiots ... but I guess we knew that. I would never buy a Camry with its accelerator pedal issues. Father-in-law owns a Camry, had the pedal problem, took it in to dealer to get it "fixed" and still has the pedal problem. Toyota does not really know wtf is wrong.
Toyota's already said they're not looking to be #1 anymore - they're just trying to go back to building reliable cars. I think their cars took a reliability hit - down to where everybody else's cars are. lol. In the latest JD Power IQS, they were still ranked #7 (ahead of Cadillac, Infiniti, BMW, Audi, etc.).
This isn't true. Honda ranks high in reliability (even though they've had their issues like everybody else), and a ton of those Accords are built in Marysville, Ohio.
I just finished watching this movie on Netflix like 10 minutes before I clicked on this thread. No lie...that's crazy.
I believe my Scion XB was produced in Japan. I remember because my mom specifically asked about it when we were car shopping.
